You can tell he's halfway joking but still kind of being an asshole. Eh. I've got no problems with Terrell Suggs.

We need to discuss something here. Why is it that Ravens fans are by far the most defensive fans in the entire NFL by a landslide? If you even halfway insinuate that Flacco might not be the right guy for the job, everybody goes absolutely fucking apeshit. I don't know a fan of another team that gets nearly as angry and frustrated as Ravens fans when questioned about their team, and especially their Quarterback. It's kind of boggling.

I love Flacco and I can see that he's not the greatest QB ever. The biggest knock on him is that he's not clutch & it's completely true.

I defend him because I'm a fan of his, but I wouldn't mind having a guy behind center who doesn't throw interceptions during comeback drives.

Yeah. It's just odd because if somebody was talking mad jIve about Alex Smith, who has proven himself a bit this year I'd be like "Yeah, he isn't everybody's cup of tea but he'll work for now." If somebody is even like "Hey, is that a hangnail on Flacco, he should really get that..." they get murdered with "THOUGH SHALT NOT SPEAKETH THE FUCKING NAME OF FLACCO!"

I wouldn't mind having a better/competent offensive coordinator and a legit #1 WR for Flacco to throw to..the RB shouldnt be the #1 receiver on the team.

Simmons is trying to lure me into a false sense of security by saying the Falcons are frauds. The Gianys can't be hearing that.

Same douchebag (Bill Simmons, THE "SPORTS GUY") that said this:
Quote:
A) The Ravens won that game in a blowout B) The Ravens didn't miss the playoffs C) Bryant McKinnie didn't play that bad in a backup role D) The Ravens were one of the top teams in the league in Sacks (#3 with 48) and T-Sizzle had 14 to go with 7 forced fumbles and 2 ints putting him in talk for Defensive MVP E) Sketchy corners don't turn in one of the top pass defenses in the league (#4 in yards allowed). F) HOW THE FUCK WAS THEIR SCHEDULE TOUGH. They played the NFC West and AFC South. I was saying last year their schedule was cupcakey enough to go 14-2 for crying out loud. |

I like Bill Simmons. I don't like the Ravens or gay Ravens fans. Still every post seems to be about fucking Flacco. Non-delusional football fans don't actually think he is anything special. Let it go.

Well the best stat in this debate is a simple one.
Joe Flacco 2 Mark Sanchez 0 But beyond that Sanchez is 31-22 in 3 years, Flacco is 48-23 in 4 years. Flacco has a better career passer rating (85 to 75), better completion % (60 to 55) Sanchez has thrown 51 ints in 3 years, Flacco only has 46 in 4 years (flacco's high is 12, 3 of 4 years and Sanchez threw 20 his first year and 18 this past year). Sanchez 3400 yards passing this year was his high, Flacco has had at least 3600 the last 3 years. They both get sacked at about the same rate and fumble the ball about the same rate. Conclusion: Joe Flacco > Mark Sanchez |

Nope you're wrong. Sanchez went to two AFC title games in his first two seasons. Flacco only went to one.
Therefore, Sanchez > Flacco. Have a nice day! |

he isn't even the greatest to walk around baltimore
He is the greatest Ravens QB ever though.. and probably the greatest ever player to come out of Delaware...Im almost sure of that without looking it up. EDIT: Rich Gannon went to Delware..hmm..might have to wait a while to call Flacco the best ever out of Delware..damn |

Wouldn't he just be the greatest Baltimore QB and not the Ravens considering the Ravens don't have any real connection to the Colts history. Baltimore has the connection but not the Ravens.
The Ravens are closer to the old Browns than the Colts in terms of history. |

Ryan basically needs to run the no-huddle all game. Every analyst all over would say that has been the Falcons' best offensive strategy this year. |

Still love Simmons though. It unnerves me to hear him talk about the Falcons, but he is a legitimately funny guy and still knows his shit. He's not perfect, but he basically runs a line on every single football game for the entire season.

How can Flacco be the best Ravens QB because of his irrelevant past playoff record when Trent Dilfer actually won a Super Bowl with the Ravens?
By Dro's logic, Dilfer > Flacco |

Which is also why Harbaugh > Billick, who I really never could stand in the first place cause he acted like he knew everything.. in fact, Harbaugh is only the 4th coach since 1970 to take a team to the playoffs each of his first 4 years. One of the others is Shanahan who won 2 Super Bowls in those 4 years. |

You put waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay yoo much stock in making the playoffs. If you don't win the Super Bowl making the playoffs don't mean shit.
Hey, remember that time Denver went to the playoffs three years in a row with Jake Plummer, once losing in the AFC championship game? Tell me, what does that mean to Denver now? Jack shit. Same thing as any other teams just making the playoffs If you don't win it all, it doesn't fucking matter what you did |
