My Honest Proclamation:
Starting with the WM main event, being a huge Triple H fan it was very awkward and derailing to witness nothing coming from him between the Rumble and Fastlane. You wear the belt, you defend the belt. Don't give me that heel bullshit strategy. The diehards are staring at that gap and already know he's just there to drop it to (now we know, Roman) whoever won the triple threat. The New Day v.s. The League of Nations bit was total shit, made the PPV feel like RAW. Nothing should feel RAW, but alas they did it, they went there. They showed up with a Ferrari too in Mauro for the kickoff match, then the event started and we were greeted with Cole's face. AJ Styles needs a bandana cause his face is showing that age. Chris Jericho continues to be entertaining in the fact of passively showing his frustration with being filtered. The League of Nations is an example of something that looked good on paper and then you sleep with the concept and wake up the next morning wondering why your crotch is itchy and have to go through months of treatment until some of it goes away. Naomi and Tamina are right where they need to be at, I understand their place. They can stay as long as they know their roles. Becky and Sasha confuse me with their banter due to the fact that they are friends(Horsewomen), but say they aren't. The whole layout to PPVs are shit, everyone is getting fed up with it. One of the reasons I don't completely hate Triple H having the belt is for the work he oversees at NXT. The Takeover specials are just that, special. Minimal BS between the matches, lead ups and talent fighting to keep their spot or elevate to the main roster. |

One last thing for a bit, I would like to pitch a match to have before we all filter into the stadium.

IMO AJ and Y2J should not have been in a singles match together until the PPV.

Momentary fantasy booking that I'm sure has been written by fifteen of you:
Dean costs Roman the win at Fastlane. Brock goes on to face HHH at Mania (big match feels even though it's been done). Roman flirts with a heel turn against Dean for fucking up his life. Dean vs Roman in a No DQ grudge match at Mania. Roman goes full beast mode heel. Spend a few months building Bork as a face and Roman destroying Dean then BAM come summerslam super face Bork Lazer vs big bad bully Roman for the strap....thats like half a fucking year right there..... |

I have The Rock turning on Roman @ Mania, keeping the belt on HHH and having The Rock, Stone Cold and Undertaker on the corporate dime of Vince to prevent the current roster from advancing. The Attitude Guard can kidnap some NXT guys and have them do their dirty work in the ring or cast a spell on Lesnar and have him represent the group in combat.

I know that certain aspects are going to be predictable in a scripted entertainment medium, but swerve it up now and again ffs. I fell asleep during Fastlane before the main event even started. At that, Ambrose stole the show and Lesnar is getting stale. I get that he is a beast and badass, etc. But he has relegated to suplexing, getting blown up and then.... yea.
Reigns is Reigns and just bores me to pieces. No interest in current Mania, and that is the first time in my life I have felt that. Cancelling the network for now, basically due to everything Vito Cruz said a few posts back. |

Why? He is very comparable to Stone Cold. He's a blue collar guy that can connect with fans. He's crazy and has that don't give a shit mentality. I don't see how you don't compare him to Austin.

Pretty mundane PPV.
Triple threat wasn't really anything special. Like Drave said above, Lesnar's spiel is starting to wear a little thin. Ziggler as always put on a tremendous performance with Owens, but as is always the case, it's like, why care? It's Dolph Ziggler, nothing will ever come out of anything he does and he'll always flounder in midcard purgatory. Couldn't give two fucks about Kane or Big Show anymore. The way Big Show was celebrating the win after his match was kinda funny, in a "we won a match that nobody cares about, I've done this for 20 years earned millions of dollars why am I still here?" way. Roman Reigns vs. Triple H... urgh. Jericho/Styles was alright, I'm really not "getting" AJ in WWE right now. Thought he was great pretty much his whole time in TNA, especially around 2005/2006, just really not getting into him now. I think this is it for me. I've touched upon this a lot over the last year or two, but I think it's finally hitting me. I've been a wrestling fan since 1993, possible '92, and it's kinda leaving a huge gaping hole in my life not following the product any more, but I think I'm well and truly done. Perhaps after Wrestlemania I'm gonna take some time away from wrestling and just see how it is after a few months. Or until Cesaro returns. Just really cannot enjoy the product any more. |

Feeling the pain and sorrow in everyone's posts now, not even worth me heeling it up about how I'm drudging along. At least I can witness a WrestleMania live before we all shoot the company into space. If only the people behind Deadpool were wrestling writers

I take what was written to mean in terms of talent and potential, not that they have a vaguely similar gimmick

In terms of talent or whatever though then yeah I agree it's a bit of a far-fetched comparison. I mean I really like Ambrose and think he should be a huge deal but Austin was a once in a generation talent. |

For those unsatisfied with the current road to WM, what would your ideal card be with the current situation?
Say it was a pre-network, pre-stream era, what would have to be done to get you to make Mania a "must buy ppv"? Can it be salvaged or would it take some major creative re-writes to even consider it? |

I don't find Brock stale at all. Thought he worked his fucking tail off in that match.
The finish was MEH. Just because Dean and Brock didn't win doesn't mean they need to be afterthoughts post match. It would make more sense for them to be pissed and there to be SOMETHING with them and Roman post match, instead of them disappearing for a heatless staredown between Roman and H. IN SAYING THAT, it was a very fun match. The problem is, they are so inside the box that they could not figure out how to book that finish without enraging the crowd. It's so BLAH, "Okay Roman wins and then he stares at the Mania sign until HHH comes down and everyone will for some reason think this is a huge deal because BUSINESS" Why not have a bit of an angle afterwards to make fans give the slightest fuck about the build? |

Also feel like they are going to have to do something pretty remarkable to get the universe behind Reigns in the build up to Mania. (In all thuthfullness, Mania sells itself on name alone, so everything I am saying won't matter anyway,,,,, carrying on) Here are the cities, in order, hosting RAW building up to Mania: Quote:

If it's not Biker Undertaker vs. Surfer Sting, the entire crowd should stand with their backs to the ring for the duration of the match.

Watched bits and pieces. No idea why they had Ambrose hit Reigns with the chair repeatedly, they had the effect of an open hand slap. Weird finish, like almost Cena getting DDT on concrete worthy.

It could be argued that Ambrose "lost it" and didn't realize that Reigns' suit would protect him from chair shots to the back.

I love the storyline and execution. Another example of WWE telling a story for multiple months and paying off the story with its logical conclusion. HHH still has an aura about him. Thank God they didn't listen to the IWC and put Sting over HHH last year. A lot of people looking silly now. Roman now gets his big moment, and they've got the right guy in there to put him over properly. Ambrose vs Lesnar should be a fun match as well. |

Feel like they're still gonna go Lesnar vs Wyatt. Lesnar just walking away like a bitch after they took him out at the rumble still needs a resolution. It was fucking bizarre.

May have been the intention but they called an audible OR it was a sloppy rushed together loophole to explain Lesnar getting eliminated.
