I can see Bane being done, but he'd only not have the mask early on, by the time Batman would be on his ass, he'd be masked up. Depp Riddler would also be badass.

A version of Bane that hewed closely to the comic's portrayal of him would be ideal for me. But I don't see Nolan doing Bane at all, since he wants to stay more realistic. But, of all the fantastical Batman characters, Bane is probably one of the few that's closest to realistic.

That's pretty cool. There was a fan made poster shortly after TDK came out which hinted at The Riddler, it has news paper clippings. Could probably find it but...

I think most of the villians could be done realistically to some degree. There's definitely room for wiggle room, especially as absurd as that ending to Batman Begins was.

I think Black Mask could work as a villain. The Joker/Scarecrow could have inspired themed crimes. The Black Mask can give one of his guys a suit with a flame thrower and that will be Firefly, he burns down the rivals places of business. Something like that could work, but they'd probably want to use more established villains.

I definitely think The Riddler's threat could be exposing the secret of Batman's identity or the truth about what happened with Dent/Batman/Gordon.
Knowing Nolan, though, that may be just one aspect and not the entire conflict. It seems they always go above and beyond

Don't really know much about Batman past the films but at this point I wouldsay that nolan could take almost any character and make a credible potrayal and film.

They used Deadshot in Batman: Gotham Knights. Not sure how "canon" that is to the Nolan-world.

I can't see the likes of Bane being used.

Nolan has thus far, tried to keep things within the realms of possibility (to the extreme limits) with regards to individuals powers, or rather the lack of them.

Bane's sterioded super-human stuff, to me, doesn't fit with Nolan's universe, IMO.

Could tinker with the whole steroid thing more and make it more credible. Don't think it would be worth it though.

Penguin could be done, just sell him off as a disfigured psycho who looks like a penguin.

Ras made it in and he's a 600yo ecoterrorist. Scarecrow? Bane and Ivy could easily make for Nolan villains. Supernatural elements get cut or adjusted for reality.

The Riddler is my favorite character of all time. I'm not sure how I feel about Gordon-Levitt playing the role, but he certainly has a good look for it.

They should stick to the script. After The Joker, Penguin and Catwoman are next in line. I think the villians for the next Batman movie should be Penguin and Catwoman.

The problem with having Riddler as the next villain is that his character is too similar to The Joker's.

Give 'Penguin' an entirely different look and attitude in the next movie. Forget about the fat wad of shit that walks like a Penguin and has an Umbrella. Make him a suave and sophisticated Criminal mind that is secretly a bad guy. Have him 'work his way up the ranks' for the Gothan city council, and have him lead the way in trying to capture Batman "a.k.a. The Dark Knight....a.k.a. Gotham's #1 enemy."
