I love how Rogers lost to Fedor and gets a title shot.

He's the only other ranked heavyweight in Strikeforce other than Fedor, Overeem isn't even ranked. So I can sort of see where this match-up is coming from. Though, if Rodgers wins, I don't know that people will be clamoring for a rematch with him and Fedor.

1. the winner of the Main Event will be the MSAC, when Overeem pisses hotter than Satan during a bout with Syphilis. Rogers' soul was eaten in his last fight, and it's doubtful that he was able to recover in time for this fight. I call Overeem by Roid-Rage. 2. Nothing good can come from Arlovski-Silva. MSAC could very well win this fight, too. Silva has a history of pissing hot. And I can't see Arlovski beating him. 3. Fight of the Night. Hard to bet against Jacare. Harder to bet against Villasenor. 4. The winner is only slightly less over the hill than the loser. 5. Don't know either, don't care. This one of two important events for SF these next couple of months. The other one comes May 27, when the TSAC decides who gets punished for the Nashville brawl and how. It won't look good for their image if half of their champions are suspended. |

How would a 28 year old Gracie with 2 pro fights ever be considered 'over the hill'?

That being said, Roger Gracie by Submission. Randleman isn't the beast he used to be. |

arlovski should win this fight no problem... he is better than silva in every way... BUT that goes out the window if he gets hit clean

Arlovski can't get a break. Your boy seems open a lot of times for a well placed shot to the head.
Rogers is a shell of the man he used to be. He looked like a beast in the Fedor fight but after he got destroyed he just stayed in the fetal position against Overeem. Also got tossed around by him a little. A lot of potentially good fights coming up soon; Rampage vs Rashad on May 29 Fedor vs Werdum on June 26 Lesnar vs Carwin on July 3 |

He didnt do anything we work on. He fought completely different that he does in practice at times. His gameplan was to use a lot of movement, and instead he stood in one spot and threw like 20 overhand rights without setting them up or bringing his hands back up.
Im pissed cuz when we spar he abuses me but in a fight he decides to not do anything. |

Nice, yeah Arlovski wasn't at his best. Can't believe Silva outstruck him the way he did, Arlovski was supposed to considering a boxing career, and fighting a Klitscko.

lol, yeah I'd be pissed too. I just wanna know what happened to the guy, he used to be one of the better heavyweights, and one of the better striking heavyweights, but just lost to Silva, and got knocked out by Rodgers. I dunno just used to like the guy back in the day, and now he's become irrelavant.

he didnt take rogers seriously i guess.... he didnt fight the way he trained to in this fight. At least, the way the coaches tried to get him to train. Ugh so depressed about it.

He should maybe start working on wrestling, if he wasn't so worried about getting taken down maybe he wouldn't be so hesitant on his feet, I mean he was throwing some big shots, was just missing. He threw was powerful rights that probably would have knocked Silva out, but he was hesitant and getting beat with straight punches everytime.
I think if you can't wrestle, or atleast defend the takedowns, you won't get very far in todays MMA, and you probably won't. |

its not that at all.... he works on wrestling a lot
and if your worried about getting taken down, then standing in one spot in front of the guy is not going to help you. he knows that too. |

Wow, Strikeforce need to sign some decent heavyweights. Overeem blew away one of their top contenders with pure ease despite not fighting there for like 2 years.

It must suck to be a shell of yourself 12 fights in.
But seriously Rogers was never that good. He beat Arlovski by blasting him early and putting out his lights (and all the respect in the world to him for that). And he looked for a moment like he might have a shot against Fedor. But other than that Rogers hasn't done much. I hope Rogers continues to improve but I doubt his stock will ever be higher than it was just before he walked in the cage with Overeem. |

Do you think once Fedor is beaten at heavyweight he considers a move down to LW? I ask because he is a small HW, look at Lesnar, Carwin, or even a Velasquez are all bigger, faster and stonger than Fedor. |

FEDOR IS A GOD YOU SHUT YOUR MOUTH...
but seriously I think he does better against heavyweights because they are slower. Hes very fast. I think he would do good against shane and brock... i wouldnt say theyre faster. LHW would be bad for him because the guys actually are so much faster. |
