This is why I love Nick Diaz. He put that prick in his place. "I feel like you instigate a lot of fights... Where I come from you get slapped." Let's go Diaz. |

Saw the interview, and it's amazing how Diaz is able to say one thing and then 10 seconds later completly contradict what he just said. I'm still surprised at how unintelligent and slow he sounds. Cant wait for Daley to smash his face in.

Just watched the video and he is def right about that aspect of the Pride rules.. ALOT of people bitch about the lay and pray so if they ever revamp the MMA scoring system that should be addressed..
What he seems to not realize is that it's not the UFC gearing the rules towards wrestlers.. The athletic commissions come up with the rules and scoring.. Thank God Dana and the Ferttitas went to the athletic commissions when Zuffa bought UFC from SEG and ASKED for rules and sanctioning because that is the main reason it's grown to the level it is and why we are talking about it on here today.. |

lol please. Yeah he was an idiot for throwing that punch at Koscheck but Nick Diaz jumping Mayhem with a bunch of other guys are hardly the actions of somebody that isn't a 'dirty punk ass bitch'. If this fight was for the Complete Piece of Shitweight title, Diaz would be announced as the winner at the weigh-ins son.

Hardly a jumping considering the "victim" started the whole ordeal..
Being a thug is one thing but throwing away a career with the biggest MMA company in the world, while being given a number 1 contender shot only 2 fights with said company, is more retarded than anything I've ever seen in MMA.. Fighting someone who gets in your buddy's face is justified.. Trying to sucker punch a guy who just won a decision win in a sanctioned fight isn't.. |

lol he asked for a rematch. Wrong time to do it? Maybe. But he didn't start anything physical. And there is fighting somebody who gets in your buddies face (ridiculous reason btw, Jake Shields is a big boy) and then there is throwing kicks and punches to a guy that is being held down and attacked by at least 2 other people at the same time. Daley made a stupid decision based on sheer frustration. Nick Diaz appears to do the same thing for any old reason.

Daley threw a sucker punch, about he only controversial thing he's done. Where as Diaz has been involved in multiple altercations over the years, in and out of the cage. The guy got into a fight with Joe Riggs at the hospital for fucks sakes. 3 months ago he loved Coker and Strikeforce and was nut hugging, but then turns into an ungrateful bitch because his charade of fighting nobodies and then calling out GSP may actually come to an end. Diaz could have done that for years. But then Zuffa bought Strikeforce.
"My names Nick Diaz, and I'll fight anybody, anytime, minus Mayhem Miller and Jay Hieron." Diaz would get wrecked by Deigo Sanchez and Josh Kosckeck, and probably Carlos Condit and Martin Kampman. Last edited by IC Champion; 04-09-2011 at 01:24 PM. |

Jason Miller isn't even a contender in his own weight class. Why would Nick move up to middleweight to fight him when he's the champ at 170? If that Strikeforce brawl had never happened no one would mention Nick Diaz and Jason Miller in the same sentence.
Both of those incidences were emotionally charged moments where both guys did very stupid things, but I think it's time to move on from that. |

That's all good and well, but don't say you'll fight Miller and then back out. It's not like Noons or Cyborg were contenders either, and Noons is a LW. I understand the Noons fight with it being a rematch and all, but don't call out 155 lbers and then get scared of a mediocre middleweight. "Don't be scared, homie."

It's more a question of Diaz's character than anything.

And at the time it's not like Diaz had any potentiel contenders around the corner, and hasn't really fought any legit competetion since Gomim, so I don't see how fighting Miller would be any different than the norm, other than Miller being a middleweight.

If 185 isn't a weight that he's comfortable at or ideal for him he shouldn't have to do that for a scrub like Miller, especially when he'd have to gain weight for that fight and then drop it again at some point to defend his title at 170. That could fuck up a fighter's year right there.
Plus, no MMA fighter is going to say "no I won't fight that guy." |

The ref for the Jardine fight has to be a part time truck driver or moonshiner.

Gegard picked him apart and landed more significant strikes. The stoppages interrupted the decimation and helped Jardine look better than he was. The judges probably saw him landing takedowns and gave him points even though he didn't do anything on the ground.

Watching Diaz is so frustrating. If he'd protect himself a little bit better or even use his jiu jitsu more he'd dispatch with opponents more efficiently without taking much damage.
He still brought it for this fight though. Good shit. |

The 4% who voted no were Josh Barnett, Frank Shamrock, Scott Coker and John McCarthy.
