This. Hogan should have made Sting look like a killer and just been completely outclassed. WCW would have gone into 1998 with Sting as their top guy and Bret Hart showing up, potentially claiming to be the Real World's Heavyweight Champion. Sting could have beaten Nash and Hall over the next few months, and maybe teamed with Hart at a PPV to face them, and at some point later in 1998 you do Sting vs. Hart for the WCW World Title.

Triple H vs. Booker T comes to mind. I remember losing all interest in Booker once he lost here. Just an odd, odd decision.

You have to think of it from a Business standpoint and a theoretical standpoint. Sting being a killer wouldn't have been best for business. Hogan was the man and always has been. Sting isn't the right guy to lead you're show I mean did you watch him in TNA? Promos were cut and pompous. There was no logistical indication to me that Sting deserved a piece of the pie if you will.
