Calm down, it wasn't my idea originally. I'm just not going to defend Vince as much as you're cause I dislike him. Go ahead and stupidly rant at me or w/e, i really don't care.

Holy fucking shit. This is.....truely the worst thing in the history of professional wrestling.
All I can say is my thoughts are with their family, who's time right now must be unbelievable. |

Yeah the idea of anyone thinking Vince Mcmahon actually did this pisses me off as well. STFU with that bullshit. What we are most likely looking at is that Chris Benoit killed his family, which is making me sick to my stomache.

I’m not going to lie about this.
He was never one of my overall favourite workers However, he was without a shadow of a doubt one of the best pure wreslters they ever had, he just lacked the mic skills to take him to the next level. Regardless of the circumstances, he will be missed. You always knew when Benoit was going to have a match you were going to watch some quality wrestling. Until I know more information about the circumstances of his death I’m reserving judgment, I can’t get my head around how anyone could kill their 7 year old Son, I just can’t. When Eddie died there were reports within hours that he had taken a drug overdose, they were quashed, I hope/pray that Chris didn’t do what everyone is saying as it will tarnish the good name he could of left behind. Whatever the reason/circumstances of the death(s) he was a great wrestler and will be missed. I even started using some of his techniques in my matches as I’ve started to do more submission work, past few matches I’ve even started doing his headbutt, doesn’t feel right using it anymore now…. RIP the Benoit family |

I hope that the result of the initial investigations are wrong (which is quite possible), but if this indeed true then I'll probably have a new range of thoughts on the situation. This has WWE behind the 8-ball because they tape ECW and SmackDown! tommorrow and if Chris Benoit did indeed kill his family (and not due to a mental defect that took control of his life over the last few months) then WWE has to choose between honoring a lost brother or celebrating a killer. Also, imagine how his friends and family feel. They lost a friend, a family, and now they have to accept the possibility that their friend or family member is a fucking murderer. I hope this is just a freak accident, but the fact is that Chris Benoit quite possibly had a demon that finally took control. That is not an excuse, but something causes a man to kill his family.
I don't know if we'll ever figure that out or not, but my sympathy are with the 2 children left without their father and step-mom and half-brother. A family left without 3 people they loved. A long list of people who are left without a friend. All those people have to deal with a tragedy that could forever change how they felt about someone they loved. That is more than salt on a wound...that is pouring acid on it. This directly affects so many people on a personal level that I feel selfish for even thinking about how it affects wrestling and its fans. I can only hope that Nancy and Daniel didn't suffer in their death. Rest in peace Nancy, Daniel, and hopefully I can say the same for Chris. I hope my memories and respect for Chris Benoit are not destoryed within the upcoming weeks. I hope we are all wrong. Like Chris Benoit's catchphrase said, "Prove me wrong." EDIT: How old are the 2 other children? Last edited by James Steele; 06-26-2007 at 06:51 AM. |

Holy fuck, ok, just letting you guys know I'm gonna go on a pretty big assumption trail here, this is a long shot but anyway, let's say the reports of Benoit telling people his family was coughing up blood, I wonder if they somehow had contracted Tuberculosis from that Atlanta lawyer that had it. Look I'm not saying it's likely, in fact I rather doubt it I'll just fully admit right now I`m just looking for anything to show that Benoit wasn't some psychotic killer, if word comes out thay confirms he is then I will accept it.

I wonder when the last time people saw Nancy and Daniel alive and the last time someone saw Benoit...
The whole thing is just odd. One day he's missing a show due to personal problems, the next his family and he are dead. I know it's none of my business and I have no clue what happened, but I'd really like to know what happened. Human nature I guess. |

Yeah he did, not sure where they're though im sure its in an article in one of these threads, Btw i saw a chris benoit thread on this other forum i go on and cause its in the forum where most of the cunts go some of them have actually been laughing/joking even though they know its real. Most of them have been sane enough to be respectful but its pretty sad to see people react like that to a families death.

This is so fucked up. Hadn't watched tv or been online all day. I tune in for RAW and the first thing I see is "In memory of Chris Benoit".
RIP Benoit. You will be missed. I haven't been through this thread, but judging by the posts on this last page, it looks like some of you need to chill out, so just stop. Okay? |

Wow, I am still in shock and don't really know what to say. Benoit was one of my favorites in the WWE becuase he wasn't a hoss like so many and could put on a great match. Through the years he was one of my most respected wrestlers. Now to hear this, I still haven't been able to fully absorb that this happened and not only will I never see him on TV again, that he could potentially be a murderer? This is tough.

I came online about 15 minutes before Raw last night, and saw a little article that said 'relive all of Benoit's championship victories in his career', so I assumed they were doing this because he'd won the ECW title at Vengeance, as I didn't know he'd no-showed the PPV or any of the results.
Then I scrolled down to see his face plastered all over the main page, and my gut just turned. RIP Chris. |

what about his family guys? I mean, I said I'd reserve judgement until after, but it seems as though his wife and 7 year old son are the true victims here. They may not have had 5 star matches, but think about this...
I do hope he rests in peace, and I'm deeply saddened by the loss of him. But the whole thing with the family and the probable murder of a seven year old by someone I viewed as "the man" is whats really irking me here. |

He's on the other side now laughing at how stupid he was. Laughing with his family and friends that have gone before him. You guys take death too seriously - and fail to see the gift in it.

Whatever transpires here I am still confident that he was a great man. He couldn't have one day just turned around and killed his family.
I will not change my beliefs about Benoit and will remain loyal to his name until told otherwise. |

If in fact he murdered his wife and 7 year old child, how can you sit here and tell me and yourself he was a great man? It pains me to begin to say these things but come on. You can't even rationalize it as an act of lost temper or temporary insanity since the belief is that he committed each murder on different days of the weekend. He opted to kill his 7 year old son a day after killing his wife. Tragic, yes. Hard to come to terms with, yes. Last edited by Jeritron; 06-26-2007 at 07:38 AM. |

I kept having images in my head laying bed last night, Benoit beating Nacy in the head with a trophy. And then standing over her body and then flashing his familiar toothless grin.
And it just seems so chilling like that it seems like a genuine possibility of what happened. |
