QUESTION - Any chance of Dean Ambrose winning the triple threat match at Fast Lane?

With Reigns expected to win the triple threat, I'm wondering if the WWE could surprise everyone by having Ambrose win (i.e. nailing Reigns out of nowhere after both men spend most of the match teaming on Lesnar).

From what I know, the WWE has been pushing Owens pretty hard and Ambrose was one of few guys to defeat Owens cleanly on multiple occasions. Sounds to me like the WWE has been building up Ambrose strong as well.

Do you see Ambrose winning the triple threat, and then defeating Hunter at Mania? You can have a Reigns/Lesnar rematch at Mania in another match.

Could be a good way to swerve the fans and cater to the smarks.

Yeah, it seems like the WWE will give Reigns his win over Lesnar (indirectly), while finally making him their guy.

I haven't watched wrestling since Wrestlemania and so I don't really know what's going on.

there's always a chance but nah. If I had to put money on Ambrose's current 'trajectory', I'd bet he's heel by mid-year, with seeds possibly planted at Fastlane with him getting beaten by Reigns

Doubt it. Seems he's more in the match because the WWE wanted a very high profile match for Fastlane but also didn't want Lesnar and Reigns to suffer a loss by pinfall this close to Mania.

Would be a huge waste to do Lesnar-Reigns II without the title and probably the same for Reigns-Ambrose II unless Ambrose had turned heel after Survivor Series.

I think there's a chance. Roman Reigns isn't at the critical level to handle a WrestleMania main event. That being said, it's going to be his second one, and WWE can be pretty stubborn when it decides it wants someone to be a star. Ambrose is the more over and refreshing of the two options, and he could theoretically be "struck down" and give Reigns a chance to avenge him later, or eventually turn heel down the line if a run with him at the top doesn't work. Fastlane is in his backyard too.

With that being said, I'm wih Ruien on this one: Roman Reigns wins the Triple Threat, gets The Rock and possibly Ronda Rousey in his corner, with Dean Ambrose's recent work earning him a spot against Brock Lesnar on the card. Ambrose hasn't looked out of a place in his interactions with Brock, and the match-up has any energetic dynamic to it. This moves Bray Wyatt to face Taker in a rematch from last year.

This narrowly beats out Plan B, which I think would be the Triple H vs. Dean Ambrose match, yes, with Roman Reigns facing Taker and Brock Lesnar facing Bray Wyatt.

No, and the main reason for that is that he's still got the IC title. WWE already did the two title deal with Seth Rollins not even a year ago. They're not gonna do it again any time soon, and they're not gonna do it with a guy like Ambrose unfortunately. And before anyone says "he doesn't have to win at 'mania and get two titles" all I have to say is if you think the winner of this isn't beating Triple H at 'mania you're almost certainly wrong. Triple H is almost guaranteed to drop the belt there. If he doesn't I'll be massively surprised.

Unless Reigns went down with some injury and HE had to miss 'Mania, I could see Ambrose being right in the thick of it with Lesnar. Even beating him at Fastlane if it was a 1-on-1 match.

I'll give him the Woody Paige "Puncher's Chance". But, it's in the cards/script that Reigns will win the match.

Am I the only one who thinks it's time for Dean Ambrose to return somewhat of a Shield-esque look? He looked larger than life with that sort of get-up. Personalize it with a logo and maybe some mad scribbles all over it and he could look like a guy that you wouldn't want to fuck with.

An idea I had involving the main-event at Wrestlemania:

An idea I had involving the main-event at Wrestlemania:

This obviously won't happen, but I figured it might be interesting.

At Fast lane, Ambrose wins the title after nailing Reigns out of nowhere (after the two men spend the better part of the match teaming on Lesnar).

The following night on RAW, the WWE teases tension between Roman and Dean, but Roman acts cool. Roman accepts that Ambrose did what he had to do and that it was all good.

Lesnar on the other hand, wants to murder Reigns since Reigns took the pinfall. This sets up a match at Wrestlemania between the two.

At Wrestlemania - we see Reigns/Lesnar. Although Reigns is a little better this year, Lesnar still dominates most of the match (although like last year, Reigns comes on strong at the end). Finally, out of nowhere, Seth Rollins appears!

Rollins nails Lesnar and helps Roman get the win.

After the Reigns/Lesnar match, another match takes place. After that match, we see a backstage promo between the re-united Shield (Ambrose, Reigns, Rollins). Ambrose explains that the Shield is a family and that they've forgiven Rollins. Rollins explains that he's seen what a corrupt piece of sh*t Triple H is, and didn't even call him one time during his time off. He realized the error of his ways and wanted to re-prove his loyalty to The Shield while sticking it to Triple H in the main-event.

Ambrose looks into the camera and tells Triple H that The Shield is coming for him.

Later on that night, Ambrose faces Triple H. As the match progresses, Ambrose slowly gets the upper hand. Out of nowhere, Road Dogg and X-Pac come to the ring and attack Ambrose. That's when Reigns and Rollins' music hits. Upon seeing Reigns and Rollins, X-Pac and Road Dogg run away.

In the ring, Ambrose hits Triple H with his finisher. Out of nowhere, Reigns spears Ambrose! Reigns, Rollins, and Triple H take turns stomping on Ambrose. Triple H then gets the pinfall, with Reigns, Rollins, Triple H, and the ring-returned Road Dogg and X-Pac celebrating in the ring.

The next night on RAW, Triple H, Rollins, and Reigns come down to the ring. Triple H explains that this is a business, and no one plays the 'game' better than him, because no one plans things better than him. Reigns then speaks. Reigns mentions that he still has nothing but respect for Ambrose but as Ambrose proved at Fast Lane, we all gotta do what we gotta do to get ahead.
He now understands that, and also understands why Rollins did what he did a few years earlier (i.e. turn on The Shield). It's not that Rollins hated Reigns/Ambrose, but that he was thinking business. Guys that get ahead in this business, do what they gotta do......like Triple H, Rollins, Hulk Hogan, Shawn Michaels, etc.........while "nice guys" like Marty Jannety, Bret Hart, etc., end up getting screwed.

Rollins then takes the mic, and is thrilled that "his brother" has seen the light, and now realizes that this is a business. Rollins explains that he was paid a lot of money to show up at Mania' last night, and was also guaranteed a title shot against Triple H or Reigns when he comes back.

Rollins then emphasizes the fact that they have no problem fighting one another for the title, because they are mature enough to realize that this is a business. However - when they aren't fighting one another, they will have each other's backs because they are mature enough to not let personal rivalries get in the way of good business.

------------------

Long story short - guys like Brock Lesnar, Dean Ambrose, and returning superstars such as John Cena and The Rock will have major issues with the newly formed faction of Triple H/Reigns/Rollins, etc.

(edit - just to clarify - my Rollins-appearing-to-rejoin-The Shield idea would be extremely reminiscent to Wrestlemania 15 when everyone thought Chyna was re-joining DX, as opposed to Triple H joining the Corporation. Also - during that backstage promo with The Shield, they are being interviewed).

I'd like to see Dean start wearing a denim vest. He is a lunatic after all.

Have him filmed in vignettes and promos where he runs around barefoot in extreme cold and snowy conditions.

Ambrose chances are slowly increasing as Reigns appears to be more interesting elsewhere, but I think they still go with Roman.

I wonder looking back if having Ambrose go out of the Rumble last might not have been a way to check reaction to him. I know I went totally wild and crazy when I realizee it was down to him and HHH - I lost my ever loving mind over the prospect that he might win and go on to defend against Reigns at Wrestlemania. The way he's been booked since could very easily work going forward, and last night's "lost without losing" IC match frees him to be catapulted towards Wtestlemania. I don't know how well Rollins is right now, but teasing dissent with Reigns only to have Reigns neutralize some kind of Authority interference in the main event with some kind of involvement from Rollins would be an awesome way to end the show.
