EA officially announces Crysis 3 is in development by Crytek.

The game will take place once again in New York City and it appears the bow seen in leaked box art images is one of the new weapons of the game. The main character is called "Prophet" who is going after the Cell Corporation.

The game has a Spring 2013 release date with at least a PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 version confirmed so far.

Those who are ready can pre-order Crysis 3 and receive the Hunter Edition for no additional charge. This version will include early access to the bow, a nanosuit module, multiplayer bow skin, XP boost up to level 5, and three exclusive dog tags. You can pre-order on Origin or through specific retailers.

Also confirmed is exclusive pre-order goodies depending on if the order is made on Amazon, Best Buy, or Gamestop.

Stalker Pack – for players who like to stalk their prey from the shadows the Stalker Pack provides early multiplayer access to the deadly semi-auto Jackal shotgun. This powerful, close-range shotgun comes with a unique silencer attachment, custom weapon skin and two exclusive themed in-game dog tags. Overkill Pack – features early multiplayer access to the Typhoon assault weapon and skin. Spewing 500 rounds a second, the Typhoon gives players the ability to go guns blazing to take back the Liberty Dome. Also included are two exclusive Overkill themed in-game dog tags. Predator Pack – delivers early multiplayer access to the Feline submachine gun and exclusive camo. With an extremely fast rate of fire and a 60 round magazine the Feline is highly effective and deadly, at short range.
