Only one that I can think of is Big Show vs. Kane in a loser must retire match.

Considering you said main-event I'm gonna assume that realistic matches without a build are out the window. In that case I'd say the only realistic way to get him in a main-event match at 'Mania at this point is to take a whole year to build him back up. Have him come back after a hiatus and start wrecking people. Eventually have him make it to the level that he's fighting guys like Cena and wrecks them too. Then either have him win the title or win the Rumble and then "BAM" you've got your Big Show Wrestlemania Main-Event. Realistically though the best you could get is a match against someone he's putting over ala his matches with Reigns.

Include him in some big group match like a Battle Royal to Crown a New Champion or something. If not that, it has to be a Triple Threat, 4-Way, or 6 man. No one would go for a Big Show 1 on 1 Mania Main Event.
Only exception would be if it was against a High Profile Celebrity of some sort. Even higher profile than Mayweather which ain't happening. |

Hmm, tricky. It has to start with Big Show being re-modeled slightly. Is he going to be the big boss to dethrone or a bad-ass that fans are meant to be behind? I'm going to go with the latter, and suggest Show is sick of being treated as a stooge by The Authority. He gets sick of Seth Rollins and Triple H treating him like a lackey, and he wants what was promised to him by Stephanie McMahon for turning coat at Survivor Series '14 -- to go into the Hall of Fame right now.
Show becomes directly responsible for setting up Rock vs. Triple H with the stipulation being that if Rock wins, Ronda Rousey gets Stephanie McMahon for five minutes. Maybe Triple H forces Rock to earn the title shot, or makes Rock choose a representative to face Triple H's rep to decide whether the match is going to take place. Or maybe he knocks out a reluctant Triple H during a contract signing that Triple H is holding out on, and grabs Triple H's hand and writes "HHH". Something like that. Rock officially endorses Big Show as the People's Giant, and gives him pep-talks about how he could be so much more than he is. Show goes on to win the 2016 Royal Rumble in dominant fashion somehow. I don't know who your champion is going to be. It could be Seth Rollins. The idea of the wormy champion having to face, literally, the biggest threat to his title he ever could has some appeal. "How is Seth going to get out of this one?" Maybe Big Show even agrees to put his career on the line. The other option is for his opponent to be Brock Lesnar. We've seen that match both before Brock Lesnar left the WWE and after, but that could add history. Big Show was the man who ended Brock's first WWE Title reign. Show would have to sell confidence heading into the match, which he can surely do. Maybe he even plants seeds of doubt into Lesnar's mind about Heyman's loyalty -- wearing Paul Heyman Guy t-shirts and all that. You could also do vignettes that show him training with an MMA guy or something -- even have that guy appear in Show's corner. Anyway, that's the best I've got. Either Show vs. Rollins or Show vs. Lesnar for the title. |

Seth Rollins vs Roman Reigns vs Dean Ambrose in a triple threat match with Big Show as the Authorities special enforcer.

Have him win the Rumble. Easy. Then you can shoehorn him into whatever storyline you want with the reigning champion.

Take him off TV, have him slim down a bit. When he comes back, give him new music and go back to calling him Paul "Big Show" Wight. Give him a more serious tone.
Show highlights of him as ECW champ etc before he comes back, punching chairs away and throwing guys around. When he comes back, have him attack a top guy like Orton and just destroy him. Have the ref call a match between them before a pin is even made. Have Cena as the champ for SummerSlam defending again Wight. Have him win in a dominant fashion and over the next few months have him out of control. Even coming out and interrupting and attacking guest appearances from the likes of The Rock and Hogan. Even Triple H can't control him and is worried about the safety of guys going up against him. He agrees to stop the violence outside matches if Triple H puts him in the Rumble. If he wins, he gets to handpick his Mania opponent. He lasts until the end and is alone in the ring waiting for Number.30. After not having been seen all year, Brock's music hits to a massive pop and he eliminates an exhausted Wight to set up the Mania main event. |

Damn, finding a meaningful storyline for Big Show isn't as easy as one would think. I mean, it's BIG SHOW. He's a charismatic near 7-foot tall, 400 pound GIANT of a man who's ALSO a former multi-time World Champion who isn't a BAD wrestler by any means. It shouldn't be that hard.
But it is, for whatever reason. I DO see a scenario where HHH turns on Rollins, still Champion, and then has him go up against Big Show in an attempt to take the Title from him. Not sure that ends up as a Mania main event, though. |

I think him winning the Rumble is pretty realistic in itself. Maybe not next year but if he was booked strong after Mania and possibly could pull off a good face run without having to cry he could be in good shape to win the Rumble. Big Show vs Brock, or dare I say Reigns, I coukd see main eventing Mania in 2017. By that time his career will be winding down and that would be a nice thank you to him.

Chokeslams everyone out of the ROYAL RUMBLE, knocks out everyone on the ROAD TO WRESTLEMANIA.
Booked. Then you don't know what he'll do to the champion. Could bust out the FINAL CUT. |

The thing is you have to find a person who can get a WM worthy match out of him. When was the last time he pulled off a really good Wrestlemania match?
The best thing would be to have him in a gimmick match against someone who can compliment his style and set up some pretty good innovative spots. Off hand, I would say Kevin Owens would be a good choice. I would also consider Dean Ambrose. Samoa Joe would fit the template as well. Of course the goto guys would be Shamus, Ziggler, and Cena. You know what you would get from them. |

I can't think of one. Not one that would be of any interest to me, at least. They've stop-started Big Show so many times it's impossible for me to get behind anything he does.

Even Show vs. Shaq wouldn't be something I'd like to see close a show or anything. An advertised main event? Sure. But not the show-ender.

Strowman ending Big Show's career at Mania is something that I could see, but it wouldn't be a main-event.
The Wyatt Family retiring Big Show, Kane, and Mark Henry is another idea, but again, not a main-event. Show will never main-event a Wrestlemania. |

Show: I'm an aging giant, I know I've only got a short time left in my career, so there will be no more jokes, no more "good guy/bad guy" just a "making money by breaking peoples jaw guy".
Then have him run through the roster in short and fast order. |

It's 2017. There is absolutely NO reason for Big Show to be in a Wrestlemania Main Event. He is perfectly used right now: sparingly.
Now, if only they'd use Kane the same way. |

Big Show vs Connor McGregor with some heated altercations and faking it to make it look as real as possible.
With the money involved to make it happen, I could see that as a main event. Fact is, this is more probable than when this thread was done. With no Taker, no Rock, no Sting, no Goldberg and no full time stars on the current roster, he is as close to a main as he ever was. The likes of Ambrose, Rollins, Mahal etc... are just as unlikely to bring in any movement as a main event. |

Brock Lesnar breaks his neck with a brutal (sloppy) suplex. Ends Show's career, and is apologetic and does a bunch of interviews expressing his regret. Big Show is out for a year without a single interview or tweet. He returns to the WWE in a wheel chair, but manages to get in the ring with the help of Vince and a crew of medics. He talks about the road to recovery, his life story, and Brock comes out with actual tears in his eyes like he's a human being. He walks up to Big Show and says off mic, "I'm sorry."
Heyman runs down screaming, "BROOOOCK NOOOO!" BIG Show puts a distracted Brock down with one punch. Hits him again with a knock out blow, this time busting him open. Chokeslam. Chokeslam off the top rope through the ring a la Bam Bam/Taz. Book it as Last Man Standing Career VS Career. |

Show will at least get some of the best pops of the night every time he destroys Reigns... until the inevitable job/passing of the torch (for the third time). |

Well there are two ways to go here... Braun, and McGregor.
With Braun it would be the story of two undefeated streaks, culminating in one of the two holding the Universal or WWE championship, and the other winning The Rumble. The matches they have together are awesome and they would probably produce a very memorable main event. Perhaps to throw some gas on the fire they bring in Floyd as the referee. McGregor is signed to WWE, immediately still talking shit about Floyd, Big show gets insulted by an off handed comment about their match at WM a few years ago. Connor and Show square off and start a shit talking feud that leads the Universe to DETEST Connor and love their big baby hero Big Show. Connor says there isn't enough money in this business to get him to fight but Show offers his career against Connor and says he will fight McGregor for free and that Connor can have his purse if he steps into the ring with him. |
