The Pacific...
Anybody see the first episode? honestly, I was a bit disappointed since all the Band of Brothers were over an hour long, and this was only about 51 minutes
The story was harder to follow, too, what with all the fade-to-blacks and whatnot |

I'm downloading it at the moment, and feel like my expections may be a bit too high.
It's hard to make another masterpiece at the level of Band of Brothers. |

Didn't realize it had already started.

It was really good for a first episode. Anxiously awaiting next.

I liked how the differences of war in Japan was shown. That scene with the Japanese guy in the river was top notch.
This early into the show I am still suffering from "who is who" syndrome since they are all wearing the same uniform. It took me like halfway through Band of Brothers to finally recognize and tell apart most of the characters. |

Just finished watching it through the second time over.
Gotta say, I think it is an awesome series. Very different from BOB, and not just in the obvious way either. A lot slower in plot in many places, but also far more brutal I felt, in particular Okinawa, horrific. But yeah, thoroughly enjoyed. Need to watch this in HD at some point. |
