Home Movies
A lot of people I know tend to think that Aqua Teen Hunger Force or Sealab 2021 are the best shows on Adult Swim on Cartoon Network, but my heart belongs to Home Movies. The humor is so subtle (which is a lot harder to pull off than most people tend to think), and the conversations between the characters come off more realistically than pretty much anything on television. There are SO many good characters (Coach McGuirk and Jason are my favorites), and (especially in the most recent episodes) the show has a very distinct artistic feel.
What do you guys think? |

Sealab 2021 is a spoof of an old cartoon called Sealab 2020. It's really fucking funny. Sometimes. Other times, it doesn't make any damn sense.

Home Movies is a fantastic cartoon. I've actually seen it on in the early afternoon in Canada. It's an acquired taste though, because of the annoying animation. |

Home Movies is a great show, one of my favs. I really gotta get that DVD of it. The first season in squiggle-vision is the funniest though IMO.

It grows on you. I couldn't stand it at first, but I kept watching it for some reason, and now I think it's great.

It's my favorite comedy of Adult Swim too. Second favorite adult swim cartoon overall (after Cowboy Bebop.)

It's my second-favorite Adult Swim show, behind The Brak Show.
Actually, do they still do The Brak Show? |

yeah great show. haven't watched it in a while, but the best characters I think were the two kids who were always with each other and their conversations went something like this:
"oh my god I got pizza" "wow you got pizza" "yeah oh my god" "oh my god lets eat pizza" "oh my god ok" |

Walter and Perry are hilarious.
I remember them one time saying something like this: "It's cold." "Yeah. It's cold." "We should hold each other to keep warm." "Yeah. It's ok because we're cold." "We're holding each other!" "We're holding each other and it's ok because it's cold!" |

I didn't really appreciate it till the thirrd season, but it is a great show. Venture Bros. is the shit right now, though.

Home Movies is what originally got me watching Adult Swim.
If it wasn't for that show, I wouldn't have seen ATHF, Sealab, etc. Coach McGurk is great, as is Walter and Perry. The supporting characters make this a wonderful show. |
