Attention Hip Hop Heads
I keep hearing songs everywhere that I love and never knew existed, so I thought I'd try and drain some knowledge from the hip hop heads of TPWW. Who are some of your favorite rappers that you don't think a lot of people know about? New school, old school, I don't care...I just know that I'm in need of some good hip hop.
For me, I think Tech N9ne is one of the best rappers alive. His style is totally unique, and he is just the man on all cylincers. Also from that camp, there's Kutt Kalhoun. Not as off the wall as Tech, but he's dope as fuck for real. Of coures, there's Lil' Wyte too, if you read that other thread. There are plenty more, but I want to hear some from you guys. |

I've heard a little Aesop Rock, it was pretty good shit. Thanks for your input.
As for the other artists, is their music easily available? |

Ness. I mean, people know him for Da Band, but they don't know how real he is. Jae Millz too, they know him from Da Band show, but he is nasty when it comes to freestyles.

Jae Millz was in Da Band???? The only thing I've heard from his is "No No No", and that shit's hot. Ness is the shit too. Did you ever watch "The Next" on Showtime? It was a reality show that had freestyle battles, and the winner of the whole thing got a spot on the Barbershop 2 soundtrack and all kinds of ill shit. The winner was this dude name Spit Fiya. He's pretty good, too.

Yeah, I've heard the Roots, J5, and Blackalicious. Those are a lot less obvious than fucking Nas, though. Thanks guys. I rap a little myself and apparently my voice sounds a lot like one of the dudes in J5.

I don't really like UGK...or Paul Wall. Dr. Octagon is off the wall, he's kinda hard to listen to at times.

The Roots are massively under-rated... Anyways I suggest more reggae hip hop like Tricky and Massive Attack.
Not really known for rap music persay but check out Rage Against the Machine... Anything of Renegades is brillant. I know you've heard of RATM but alot of people don't recognize the last cd they put out Renegades was a rap album and every song on their was a cover from other rap bands besides Renegades of Funk, of course. |

Speaking of the Lox, I'm very very much looking foward to their next group project. It seems like all of them have found their sound, so the next Lox album (which is in the works) is going to be hot as hell.
