Cant wait till next wednesday...I am really looking forward to this finale..much more than the finale to 24 which has lost alot of steam going into its finale.

I think the ending definitely setup next week well with Sayid's plotting with Jack.

Yeah, I am extremely pumped.

I didn't watch Lost Season 1 as it was going last year (when it was new), however I watched all the repeats all throughout the summer and got instantly hooked.

Man, this finale will top last Season's imo

I think the boat they were referencing was the boat that intercepted the raft at the end of season 1

Regarding tonights ep:

It is Desmond-centric Been waiting for this all season. And apparently we are supposed to at least learn why the plane crashed and what happens when the counter reaches 0.

The writers acknowledged how pissed the fans were about the finale last year, and how it ended without any real answers. So apparently they're going to rectify that this year. We'll see.


Going to the Sox/Yanks tonight so I'll be DVRing it. But it'll be the first thing I do when I get home.

So (IF YOU HAVEN'T WATCHED IT YET, STOP READING THIS POST)...

- Are Eko, Locke, and Desmond dead? Was the Swan blown apart when the electromagnetism was released? The "Quarantine" sign was blown all the way to the beach, and that was outside the hatch.
- Where did The Others send Michael & Walt? Is there actual "salvation" that way? Will they wind up in Portugal or something?
- Come to think of it, was that Portuguese that Pen's men were speaking? So, Pen used her money to finance two Portuguese guys to look for...what, electromagnetic pulses so she can find Desmond?
- Why the hell was that bird yelling "HURLEY?" Was this another incarnation of the smoke monster, sending a warning?
- Where are Sayid, Sun, and Jin? Are they close enough where they might be able to either intercept Mike & Walt's boat? Or possibly to save Jack, Sawyer, and Kate?

I could keep going, but...DAMN! Now I have to wait four months for anything resembling closure?

Show is great, can't wait all summer for the next season.

So much stuff going on. We learn Desmond brought down the plane, etc...When the electromagnetism was happening I thought that maybe another plane would fall. Still could be possible next season I guess because I've read some places they want to bring in a couple more women to replace those who've died.

I missed part of the last couple minutes though. I saw the two guys and then they called Desmond's wife or whatever, what was that all about? How did they "locate" Desmond? Or is that just another question to be answered.

I just read a ton of theories that make a lot of sense, so tons of shit is going through my head now.

I've read how it's like "The Truman Show" (movie with John Carey how his entire life is a TV show and he doesn't know). I've read theories how the Others are democrats and the "good guys" as we know them are the republicans...

Anyway, a few interesting things tonight. Finally some answers. Yes, there were some new questions, but nothing I feel like I'm dying to know this minute. I won't be agonizing over summer going WTF!! In other words, very good finale.

Now for what I really thought was insane. I didn't watch season 1 when it aired, I watched it with a friend (who had already seen it) last summer on DVD. There was one scene in one of the episodes (I think where they were going for dynamite) and a bird flew by and startled them. My friend SWORE that the bird said Hurley's name and we got into debate about it. I kept telling him he was trying to read too much into stuff, etc. So fast forward to tonight and Hurley says, "did that bird just say my name?" OMGWTF!!!!

They were in some kind of arctic bunker playing chess. Then, a red light started blinking, and they rushed over to it. There was a readout saying something about abnormal electromagnetic energy. They said something to the effect of "Are we sure this time?" Then they called Pen.

Not sure how they equated electromagnetism with Desmond, but I guess somehow they did.
