Contracts, payoffs and perks of wrestlers.
Lets discuss the "out of ordinary" contracts (and included perks) in the world of pro wrestling.
Also lets discuss money wrestlers got for specific matches. I would love to know what Bret and Shawn got for the iron man match, what hogan got for his match against Rock. If you have any contract or pay details lets here it. shoot interviews for free : http://forums.projectcovo.com/showthread.php?t=1562931 Another quality shitty thread by The MAC |

I remember alleged portions of Hogan's WCW contract were posted at some point a while back. His pay was pretty damn ridiculous for his obligations to WCW.

Not quite in the papers, but this is certainly a take on one of the perks of wrestling...

Dave Wadding what are you telling us?
I feel like Kevin Nash had a crazy contract with WCW at once. |

Yep. He mentions it all the time. His contract (and Halls) said that if somebody came in and was offered more that their contract was bumped to match.

He also had crazy PPV clauses. And almost full creative control.
Lot of people feel Hogan's ridiculous contract was a contributing factor to WCW's demise. |

Yep. $2,000,000 guaranteed signing bonus.
Had to actually wrestle/perform at 6 PPVs per year for years 1-3 of the 4 year deal. For each PPV appearance, Hogan received 15% of gross US PPV revenues or a guarantee of $675,000, whichever was greater. Depending upon the rating of each PPV for which he appeared, rated from 1.5 to 3.5+, Hogan would get an additional payment of $250,000 up to $1.75 million. For Nitro & Thunder appearances, Hogan got 25% of after tax gross ticket sales, but not less than $25k per appearance. For house shows, Hogan got 25% of after tax gross ticket sales per appearance. |

Found this interesting:
Quote:
The Hogan-WWF-Marvel deal was definitely still in effect because this contract has a condition precedent requirement that Hogan must first be able clear his performance obligations to WCW with Marvel (i.e., essentially get Marvel's permission) before WCW would accept his signing of this agreement. |

Didn't Hogan also have some crazy merch deal that might have included him getting a cut from other wrestlers merch sales?
Think Jericho had a story in WCW about when one of his merch items was sold, it ended up getting added to Hogan's tally instead. |

Hogan received $20k a month OR not less than 25% of WCW's licensing and merch revenues on "generic, non-talent specific NWO merchandise) every month he was a member of the NWO.

I kinda wonder if Cena had a similar deal to help pad his "top merchandise seller" thing, alongside them understocking other folks merch (see Punk, C.M.).
