Excellent album, Phil should really have stuck with Down over the next lot...
SJR are crap from what I've heard Not heard Not heard, but the main guy in the band has done some good stuff with the Hidden Hand and Place of Skulls lately... Not inspired by the songs I've heard Good, but I'm not as fond of it as I used to be |

Oh, Carnivore are an 80's racist death metal band.. Dude was like "I don't dig the lyrics/message, etc, but the music kicks ass.."

Down II: Great album. Down kicks ass.
Superjoint Ritual - Use Once and Destroy: Pretty decent. Nothing special, though. Carnivore - Retaliation: Great stuff. Peter Steele of Type O Negative's old band. They sound nothing like Type O, though. They're kind of thrashy. Spirit Caravan - Jug Fulla Sun: Great doom metal. I liked Scott Weinrich's stuff with St. Vitus better, though. [Check out St. Vitus' album "Mournful Cries"] Chevelle - Wonder Whats Next: From what I've heard, they suck. Tool - Lateralus: I'm not a fan of Tool. |

Chevelle - Wonder What's Next it's alright, but not anywhere near as good as Lateralus.

I like Chevelle. Pretty light compared to the other bands you posted, I think.

I saw Chevelle at Ozzfest.. I wouldn't even class them as metal.

Down II - Kicks so much ass. I agree with Destroyer when sayin' Phil should of stuck with Down. Hopefullly they do some more stuff in the future.
I like Chevelle's Wonder what's next. Tool... Gods. Need I say more. |
