Sonic Youth is one of the best bands ever.
Listen to "Providence" while you are driving high. There is nothing better. It feels like you're driving a spaceship and you're getting messages from mission control. |

The solo by Moore a little past the middle here, he goes nuts. Incredible. |

Slayer and Pantera have both produced plenty of filler material. But Reign in Blood alone blows every Metallica album out of the water. I like tallica's first 4 albums but there was far too much fancy pants experimental shit which never quite convinced me, it always seemed like they were banjo players trying to write an opera to be honest, wheras with RIB in particular Slayer just went balls to the wall and played everything as loud and fast as they could with some sexual riffage along the way \m/

I dunno. Are you saying Banjo Players can't write opera?
Them's fighting words. Anywho, Metallica's only overrated because fans inist that they can do no wrong. Despite Lars being a shite drummer, they're a solid act. Just not worthy of the endless streams of praise.... |

I think I saw somewhere that they were still doing concerts, so I believe they are, yes.

Well, you can have live concerts with like one person remaining, and still call it by the band's name.
I believe Dennis DeYoung did that with Styx(x?). I know like 4 people have done it with the Beach Boys. I know for a fact that Brian May's hair is the only original member of Queen currently on tour. |

lol I think like 3 of the original members are still together? FakeRazor can probably tell you exactly what the deal is with them.
