Alright, Kane Knight, we get it. You don't like Linkin Park. For someone arguing sameness, you sure are saying the same thing with slightly different words.

Hit the nail on the head. All I read anymore from KK is whining about all these mainstream bands that he can't stand. Granted, he makes some decent points about -some-, but does he ever have anything positive to say? |

Req and DS, don't bother. You will never win this argument and it will only piss you off more.

Oh believe me, I know. I'm sure he gets a hard-on the moment someone says something he can disagree with, just because in his mind he can't ever be proved wrong.

mixed feelings on this one. Of course, all I heard in the form of clips before it leaked, was Given Up and other harder songs so I was expecting it to be another HT-type album just a slightly bit harder. I like some of the softer tracks but I'm a bit dissapointed after hearing songs like Qwerty and assuming it would be hard. Never assume . But, definitely a decent album. It just better not be another 4 years until a new one surfaces.

Because we know that comments about you in a couple threads, contitutes whining about you. Compared to the whining the rest of the board does about you, that isn't even scratching the surface.

You whine in a couple of threads the way I never say anything positive. That is, only in your made up little argument.
But whining that I won't change when you keep repeating the same actions? That's fucking funny. |

And by the way, to the little douches who are spreading the phrase "hate" around...Jesus. I must really have hated them to have actually downloaded the record, gave it a shot, and not said it sucked, but simply said it wasn't different.
Are you so sensitive about your taste in music that everything needs to be "original" or "different?" Or so deluded? I mean, wow. If you complain when I actually criticise the musical structure, how badly would you all piss yourselves if I actually said bad things about the record? |

You're the one making excuses for your actions. It's not that you critisize the music, it's that you bring it up around every corner, and then generalize about the person's taste in music. Don't even fucking deny it. You do exactly that. You go to another thread and see that someone who liked "X" band has an opinion on "Y" band, and make some smartassed comment about it, or some other BS. And shut up with this stupid "I must really dislike a band to own their CDs or to have downloaded X CD" I own plenty of albums for bands that I no longer like. I've downloaded plenty of music to 'give it a chance', but before I downloaded it that didn't mean I didn't dislike them. I still most likely didn't like them before downloading it, but I gave it a chance and my mind wasn't changed so I deleted it. Like downloading something was putting forth a lot of effort, as if you drove to the store and went out of your way to get it. You clicked a few buttons and let your downloader do all the work. Yeah, that's quite some effort you put into it there. This is the quote that brought on my original comment in this thread anyways. Quote:
Also, your claim that I keep saying the same thing all over the place too. Two threads, both comments used in the same context (because you hadn't responded to this one yet so I brought it up in the other thread).. Hardly near the extent that you do it. You're not a bad poster when you're just posting, but you get in this mindset when you start arguing over something that everyone else is 100% dead wrong, and you can never be wrong about anything. That's not the signs of being a good debator. That's the signs of being an ignorant fuck who can't accept anything but what's already in your mind. Maybe you should go over and try to rule Iraq. You could be the next Muslim leader if you keep that up. |

Kane Knight is a habitual non-conformist. Thats what his TPWW tenure boils down too. This was known like 3 years ago. I'm shocked everyone is just realizing this.

Haven't read the responses yet. Has Requiem given his usual "It's your fault that I'm too stupid to stop making assumptions based on what's convenient!" argument yet?
Fuck's sake, Req, even animals are able to learn from their own mistake. I'd peg you at as least as smart as a dog, so how many times do you have to have your nose rubbed in shit for saying the same stupid things before you actually learn? Or do you just have a hard-on for lying? |

Typical Kane Knight response. The moment he realizes he is wrong, he stops debating and turns to just attacking a poster.

Forget about Linkin Park, get the new Bjork album instead. Far better than anything those nancy boys can produce.

I havnt heard anything about it and didnt even read this thread to see what yall think...
I picked it up today....listened to it...and was afriad to come on the boards and actually say that I didnt care for it. I was very let down from this CD but as I can see from some other peoples posts, they didnt like it either... It just doesnt sound like Linkin Park anymore....there are only like two songs on it that sound like their old ways. Yes I know they are trying to go for a different sound now but it just doesnt sound right to me. They sound like they have gone perhaps too soft.... |

yep...actually it was 9.99...and I purchased Megadeth with it and used a 10.00 rewards coupon for being a member of the rewards group..
So technically I didnt pay for it...but then again I did and wasted a 10.00 coupon... |

Yeah, I decided to get it and the new Exies cd today, and I liked The Exies much better. There is only a couple songs I actually like on the new cd, and this really isn't what I expected from LP. Think its back to go back to the tried and true, cus this wasn't it. Sorry guys.

Oh, so they have gone from lame, generic, and tired to even MORE Lame, Generic, and tired?
They should have crossed over to the Emo thing sooner. Papa Roach beat them to it. They'd still suck, but they'd corner the teeny-bopper audience that gotten sick of Nu-Metal bullshit. Nu-Metal only lasted as long as it did because At The Drive-In broke up before they could follow up Relationship of Command, at the peak of their Critical fame. |

Very different approach on some of the songs. A lot softer than usual. They don't even sound like the same bands. And the songs that do sound like LP are kind of generic. To me, anyways. Still enjoyable tho. I actually like the rap songs the best.

I dislike them, for the most part. I did like one song they did, ever "Lying From You." Then again, I can also take jabs at my own musical tastes, as I like some of Jack Johnson's work. |

Fort Minor > Linkin Park
Mike Shinoda > Linkin Park. The fact that Shinoda barely raps on this makes me sad. |

What's sad is that he's actually had to tone himself down for Linkin Park. Have you heard the original version of In The End? Much better.
Guy's got some great rap skills, and he's being wasted. |

I love "Bleed it Out".
Overall great album, though it's mood prevents me from playing it as much as their last CDs. It's more like an easy listening thing now. |
