I said thats a whole different discussion
Oh and Big vito it was heroin 1.) TRIPLE MAXIMUM LETHAL DOSE EVEN FOR SEVERE ADDICTS: At least three days after his death, Kurt Cobain's blood contained 1.52 milligrams of morphine per litre (mg/L) plus traces of a "diazepam-like" substance. This level is widely known to represent three times the lethal dose of heroin, but it is not commonly understood that this level is three times the lethal dose even for severe heroin addicts. Generally, a blood morphine level of 0.5mg/L is caused by 75 mg - 80 mg of heroin, the established maximum lethal dose, even for severe addicts. A blood level of 1.52 mg/L generally indicates an original dose of approximately 225 mg - 240 mg of heroin. There you go |

And they used to say that .5 was a universally fatal dose of alcohol.
Yeah, there have been a couple people with a .8 BAC. |

2. the note was in his handwriting until near the end, when he was smacked out 3. it's heroin, not coke, and you're going off a blood to heroin ratio, rather than the amount of heroin he'd already have in his bloodstream from being an addict and regular heavy user. 4. as far as i'm aware, they signed a pre-nup so neither would've gotten any money from the other, and he took a bunch of towels and ID into the garage room where he shot himself, so they'd know it was him and so they could clean up with the towels. I don't think any possible killer would've put that much effort into it. |

Yeah Courtney is a ****ing slut who deserves to be shot with a shotgun repeatedly. in the face.
Even Maynard ****in hates her. I think the part from the song "The Outsider" where he sings "medicated drama queen..." or something is directed to her. not too sure. Anyway, Cobain.. Heart SHaped Box is probably my favorite Nirvana, along with In Bloom. |

I remember laughing when my mate's brother and his girlfriend started crying about it. Stupid bastards. People loved that guy like a God even before he died.
I never liked Nirvana. He must have stank after sitting around for 3 days. |

Courtney killed Kurt, Tupac is still alive, Elvis was abducted by aliens, and punk is actually good music... There, is everyone happy with their disillusion?

The way they talk about Kurt Cobain, you would get the impression that he basically invented music.
Nirvana are just like the Sex Pistsols - Shit, but influenced a lot. |

That way Punk music could prosper, which is really nothing more than Alien communications.

The death of any celebrity still in the prime of his/her career does more to solidify their legend than anything possibly. It ensures that they never fade out, never turn into a weak version of what they were. And Kurt having killed himelf was the most poetic way for him to go out; in a scene where depression was akin to a fad, seeing the hero of the day made way too much sense to way too many people. Of course it drove some of us to walk away from that scene and discover industrial music, but that's a different story.
As far as "Courtney did it," that's little more than a pathetic attempt by many to beleive that their hero was tragically murdered rather than having blown his own head off. Most of the "facts" that point to murder in this case never surfaced until long after they could be properly validated, and a lot of them look for logic and rational behavior from a pair of people who had abused more drugs than an average college campus. |

BTW, I'm not exactly sure how Staley is overrated, because most people give credit where credit is due, to Cantrell.
Cobain's a different story. The guy was a God in his own time, touted as the Next Lennon, without any of the actual ability to back it up. AIC is a great band, BTW. Probably not in my top ten or anything, but still great. |

Not a huge Nirvana fan but then again, I wasn't able to get hold of good music in the early 90's so they didn't mean as much to me as they did to others. "You know your right" is my favourite song of theirs for some reason.
I thought Alice In Chains were a better band and was able to get their stuff early enough that it still made an impact on me. |

Kurt Loder: Was it really you who created the "Free Frances Bean" T-shirt?
Maynard James Keenan: Oh, yeah, back in '96, '97. Everybody at that time was trying to get us to do all these benefit shows — you know, like "Free Tibet." And I was like, "I'm gonna have my own platform: Free Frances Bean." Because just watching the tornado that is her mother, my first thought was, "Oh my God, how is Frances Bean gonna survive this insanity?" Because artists can be extremely eccentric and insane, and unfortunately, the people they hurt the most are the people that are closest to them. The shirt was kind of a flippant joke, and then it just spiraled out of control — everyone wanted them, and I was giving them away. Courtney hates me. She called me a media whore once. Isn't that great? I have the distinction of being called a media whore by Courtney Love. |

Dont start that shit. Thats just stupid."Oh yeah, 2 members of pearl jam were in Green River and GR influenced Nirvana"....yeah, along with The Melvins, Black Flag, Husker Du, The Knack,The Vaselines just to name a few! "Pearl Jam never wanted fame, thats why they blew off MTV after the Jeromy video" 1. Pearl Jam wanted fame. Thats why after Andy Wood died(Mother Love Bone,Remember??), they recruited Vedder for Vocals TO GET A MAJOR LABEL DEAL!!!! Thats why many other seattle band shunned PJ !! 2. Fun Fact: Green River broke up Because Stone and Jeff wanted fame and the other members didnt. Ten wouldnt have taken off like it did if hadnt been for Nevermind. Pearl Jam would still be in seattle somewhere making records on K or SUB POP. Thank you. |

I think Pearl Jam is a decent band.
I think Nirvana is a decent band, not because of Kurt but because Chris and Dave were also good musicians. Dave is probably the better between him and Kurt and it shows cause he is still making good music today. Some people argue that Kurt was shadowing the other bandmates, which he was, and others argue that the only reason Dave became popular was because Kurt moved out of the way. Totally off topic but I mentioned it nonetheless. Kurt killed himself cause he saw his career going down the drain which it was. If you want to argue read his journal. He talks about how it was going down the shithole throughout the whole thing. I think his death was a sorta "Yea I am popular but I want to be immortalized" kinda thing and also personally think that Courtney had nothing to do with it. He was ****ed up in the head. It was pretty selfish if you really think about it. The band could have gone on to maybe even greater lengths, and then maybe FF might not be around today cause Dave would still be with Nirvana. If I had to choose with Nirvana still being around and the FF not being a band, I would choose what has happened. AIC was also a good band and it sucked that Layne died when he did. |
