Over the Limit card
Currently we have the following matches confirmed for the breath of fresh air that is the non-gimmick PPV, Over the Limit:
WWE Championship CM Punk (c) vs. Daniel Bryan World Heavyweight Championship Sheamus (c) vs. Alberto Del Rio John vs. John - Who is The Face of WWE? John Cena vs. John Laurinaitis So far, my personal interest is peaked in CM Punk vs. Daniel Bryan, although Sheamus vs. Del Rio is a really fresh dynamic, too. Cena vs. Laurinaitis is there as your big selling point, since Punk vs. Bryan is too "wrestling" to sell a sports entertainment PPV. My question is what else do you see being added to the card? Will Brock Lesnar vs. Triple H take place, or will the WWE wait until No Way Out to pull the trigger on that one? More importantly: Will there be a Ryback squash? |

It seems that Kofi Kingston & R-Truth vs. Primo & Epico might actually be one of the best built feuds going into the PPV.
I'd love to see that match, don't get me wrong, but I think Punk and Bryan could really use a solid business base around them. I'd hate to see a light PPV card and the buy-rate resting heavily on their shoulders. Bryan and Punk, whilst being two of the very best the WWE has right now, aren't in the position where a PPV can be sold around their abilities in the ring or their history together. They need something else. |

Sports Entertainment aside, the fact that CM Punk Vs. D. Bryan isn't the main event of a "wrestling" PPV rubs me the wrong way, but whatever, John Vs. John should at least create something of interest for the next night.
Brock & Triple H shouldn't happen for a while, especially if they're working off of Triple H having a broken arm. Personally, I wouldn't mind if Triple H remains at the business front of the company. Don't get wrong, I still think he's a great wrestler, but Wrestlemania really should be his swan song from the ring. Another Ryback squash is most likely inevitable, though if WWE takes any cues from it's fans, they'll realize that they won't see past it as anything more than a Goldberg clone. I think they'd be better off with a Tenzin squash instead. As far as additional matches being added (and this is based off of not having seen the most recent Smackdown): Big Show Vs. Cody - Ic ReMatch Primo & Epico Vs. R-truth & Kingston - Tagteam ReMatch Generic Diva Match (Possibly involving the title) |

Pretty safe predictions, El Tigre.
During the Cody Rhodes & Kane vs. Randy Orton & Big Show tag team match on SmackDown!, I got the feeling that the WWE might just throw all four guys into a Fatal 4-Way against each other for the Intercontinental Title. They did imply that Big Show was done with the IC Title, but those four guys seem like ones the WWE would try desperately to get onto the PPV. I'd much rather see Kane involved there than in a match against The Great Khali. Ryback will probably get to squash someone at the PPV. My money is on Drew McIntyre. At least the dude will get a PPV pay-day... Layla really has no one to challenge her for the Divas Title right now. AJ and Eve are the only heels that she hasn't gone through. Either could really get the shot, but I think it might actually be more interesting if they have AJ and Kaitlyn wrestle and use that to build AJ for a title shot. I love them, but I just cannot see Epico & Primo making PPV. Well, I can, but I see them watching from the stage scouting again. Brodus Clay has issues with Dolph Ziggler & Jack Swagger, and they seem to be continuing going forward. It's a weird prediction, but I can see Ziggler & Swagger teaming with Chris Jericho against Brodus Clay, Kofi Kingston & R-Truth. I don't know how we get there in storylines, but whatever. I think all six guys are ones that the WWE would love to get on PPV. Santino Marella and The Miz are two other guys that I see the WWE wanting to get onto the PPV, and given that they've sort of been feuding (in the sense that they keep wrestling each other, anyway), I can sort of see a US Title match between the two making the show. |

I would also really love it if Shawn Michaels came out on RAW and called out Lesnar for Over the Limit. Not for a wrestling match, but just for a good ol' fashioned man-to-man talk (with Sweet Chin Music implied).
Also, I've changed my mind and now think that Layla vs. Eve would be the best Divas match to have at Over the Limit. Eve just books herself into it with Crazy Johnny's implied permission. |

I could definitely see Shawn making a return geared towards Brock, but considering that his best friend was more or less destroyed, I doubt it would in the form of a "talk". Instead, replace Ryback squash (honestly not caring for the wrestler) with a Brock squash, which would end with Shawn sliding in to deliver some sweet chin justice. Playing off of that, and if a Brock Vs. Triple H is going to happen, Shawn could continue sneaking in super kicks until Brock finally catches him, only to have Triple H return via a save, and thus leading into their match.

I'm looking forward to that moment where Brock Lesnar is in the ring and Triple H's music hits. The crowd goes absolutely nuts, whereas Lesnar looks little more than annoyed. Triple H -- in street gear and looking very pissed off -- makes his way out. Brock is all smirky because he knows he can kick anybody's ass. Triple H then gets closer and reveals that he has a sledgehammer on persons and Brock freaks out and bails. |
