FSU QBs are awful. Wyatt Sexton was decent but he got into a lot of trouble.

The college football section in my local paper had Florida preseason ranked SEVENTH in the SEC. They had LSU, Auburn, Tenn, Georgia, Arkansas, and South Carolina ranked ahead of them.

Until South Carolina gets a real QB they will be average at best, I also got a feeling that Arkansas isn't going to be as good as last year but I dunno.
Really can't see UF finishing 7th, maybe 3rd or 4th |

Thats where I see them as well. The sleeper team to def watch out for is UK. While they usually have the worst luck in college football. They return almost everybody from their 8-5 Music City Bowl Winning team over Clemson. They have one of the nations best offenses and special teams and while the defense is not great its very young. Woodson/Little/Burton are as good as a QB/RB/WR set as you can find in the county this season. The only problem for UK this season will be their difficult schedule. They play Louisville, Tennesee, Florida, and LSU at home, and have road games at Georgia, Arkansas, and South Carolina

I really hope someone from ECU scores and then does a machine gun motion in the endzone. |

Appalachian St is playing with incredible confidence. One receiver is faster then everyone on the field and there QB just leaped over a pile into the endzone for a td. Pretty incredible.

App. State would be cool if they pulled it off but it seems like there is a teaser like this every year.
Anyway, live from the press box at Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis, Missouri vs. Illinois on ESPN2 should be a pretty sick game. Check it out. |

Def IMO the App St. win over Mich was the greatest college football upset of all time and def top 5 in all of sports. Mich has now lost 3 in a row for the first time in 28 years and Mich's great reg season last yr saved Carrs job for now. I think that a W over Ohio St. AND a Big Ten title is the only way his job will be saved. Mich hosts Oregon next week and that will be a tough game for them as well.

I found this ironic. The annoucing team of Thom Brennanman and Charles Davis have called only 2 college football games together as a crew. The 2 games? Boise St/Oklahoma Fiesta Bowl last season and Mich/App St.

I was up on my feet during the last few minutes of that game. The awesome part was one of the guys that blown the coverage on that long Henne to Manningham reception to set up the field goal blocked the FG.

If Carr loses to Ohio State its a wrap for him....if it isn't already
Cal played faster and more physical than Tennesse tonight, Cal's starting running back got 7 and a half yards per pop and DeShawn Jackson was the fastest dude on the field by far. Cal looked like the real deal tonight Oh yeah Matt Ryan for the Heisman |

Impressive win by Cal as I had seen polls that had Tenn as high as preseason #2 in the SEC.

You outta see all the Michigan Wolverine Football Forums. They are LIVID. They want Carr out of there NOW!
IMO the games to watch next week are LSU vs VT. Def 2 of the nations best defenses go at it. I say LSU wins 28-17 Penn St vs ND. I say Penn St rolls 48-17 Michigan vs Oregon. This will be interesting as you have to wonder how Mich will recover. I pick Oregon for the W 27-24 Texas vs TCU. Texas snuck past Ark St adn TCU is considered by many to be this years Boise St. An upset could happen in this game but I say Texas wins 38-31 |
