I got in as they spoke about the Winter Olympics. The Sonic thing seemed interesting but I'll wait for a trailer or something.

I always thought they should have called it "The Wonderful 100". It sounds much cooler than "one-oh-one", to me.

The Japanese stream had Yakuza 1+2 HD for the Wii U as well. Damn, I really hope they bring that over here. Excellent games.

No but you have the choice of either playing the games in Wii Virtual mode or pay a discounted priced to upgrade the Wii version to a Wii U version with extra features.

Supposedly the reason besides double dipping by Nintendo is the rumors of them eventually dropping the old Wii system-based structure in favor of a unified account based system for the 3DS and Wii U later this year.

I reckon it will just be in the time of the usual Nintendo conference. Those Sony/MS/Nintendo conferences are all classed as "pre-E3", since E3 isn't started until the floor opens.

EA backed off on the "no game development" for the Wii U as the company announced they are currently working on games for the console although it won't be as many games as they are focusing for the PS4 and Xbox One.

Being rumored Disney might have forced them to make at least Star Wars games since EA is in no position to break their terms unlike with FIFA and the NFL.

Nintendo states they are currently investing and researching into cloud computing but not for the current trend to just hold server or user data. Their goal is to expand the idea/concept where cloud computation would work together with the GPU and/or help cover things normally limited by the GPU.

Sega recently released the debut trailer for Sonic Lost World.




Nintendo's current eShop sale is a "Buy 2, Get 1 Free" deal for Kirby VC games. The deal also covers upgrading Wii versions to Wii U versions. The offer is only available for North America though.

Wow, Sonic Lost World looks preety good. Flickies, the style of the world, the new enemy characters and it looks vaguely Mario Galaxy-esque.

Sega announces Sonic Lost World will feature several mulitplayer modes. The Wii U version was also announced to have exclusive Color Powers and features 2 player co-op for storyline/campaign mode.

Ubisoft revealed the Wii U version of Rayman Legends will contain a few more exclusive content than the Xbox 360 and PS3 with a new level called "The Deadly Lights" exclusive to that version. Yeah, it really is. I have my five year old nephew visiting from England this week and he was really enjoying the Mario Chase game. He didn't care about any of the other games but, still, the one he liked, he really liked.

According to SEGA, the reason why Sonic Lost World is a Wii U exclusive is due to Sega getting close to Nintendo over the past few years (good to great game sales) and the Gamepad gave them a lot of inspiration for ideas.

Aonuma revealed some plans and details for the Zelda series from a couple of recent interviews.

Wind Waker HD won't feature any new dungeons but is being tweaked to take advantage of both the Wii U and their original plans which were limited because of the Gamecube. Also confirmed the Triforce quest is being streamlined to be more enjoyable.

The Zelda Wii U project currently in development won't have "ultra realistic graphics" mainly because they don't feel it would be unique enough compared to other games. It won't be cartoony-realistic either like with recent games.

Nintendo revealed their upcoming free-to-play game is a new Steel Diver game. They are currently considering releasing a physical and digital version of the game, won't go overboard with the amount of microtransations in the game, and currently looking at it supporting 4-player multiplayer battles.

According to Miyamoto during a recent IGN interview, Nintendo might be considering dropping Sega from developing/co-developing the F-Zero series.

He stated the current goal is for both Star Fox and the F-Zero series to be brought back under their internal studios control should future games get made.
