Wish it was Sunday already cause I am pumped for the next episode. I have gotten a group of people hooked on this now. Been keeping the episodes on my flash drive and offering them to anyone that likes good TV. Gotten several hooked now.

Really really torn about reading the books. I've bought them, but I dunno when I want to start them. I figure I'll love the books, but I love the series as well...which one do I spoil?

The season is supposed to cover the entire first book. Next season, the next.. etc.. So I would just wait till each season to read a book or something.

I've got Mrs Stocke and Her mum and a few of the lads at work watching, I downloaded torrents of the first five episodes and handed them out on discs at work.

Just watched this weeks episode, downloaded it because I couldn't wait till it airs here tonight.
Best one yet, the scene with the skydoor was amazing and Tyrion was absolutely brilliant. The scenes involving the Doth'Raki were great, they really set them apart as savages with the rituals they performed and a surprise death aswell. |

Another amazing episode, though I kind of wish I hadn't read the book. Knowing what's coming takes something away. I dunno.
They handled the crowning fucking amazingly though. |

Awesome episode again. Glad I haven't read the book yet. Going to read the first after this season probably, though if I love it I might have a problem keeping from reading the rest before the rest of the show airs.

For those of you who haven't read the books, who do you think is the next major character to get offed?

Also I recommend reading the books. They're phenomenal, and I'm still thoroughly enjoying the show.
I just started the 3rd book and am 10 chapters in or so. |

Bit annoyed about the death, but oh well. Shit happens. |

Why does that death annoy you? That always seemed like an inevitability to me.

Gave the first episode a watch following Brigstockes reccomendation.
While it didn't grab me in like pilots of other shows that I love(d), it did interest me enough for me to check out the next couple of episodes. I'll form a proper opinion after a couple more episodes. Am I right in saying there's 6 episodes out at the moment? The blonde bird is fit. |

Good lord I love this show. Gutted Viserys died, such a well acted character. The Imp steals just about every scene he's in. Sean Bean is reliably good... Oh, and i've been really impressed with all the child actors, too. Particularly the youngest Stark child. Spot on!
/Hopefully my new picture of Bronn is up, too! |

I don't think you've actually seen much of the youngest Stark child, though I assume you mean Arya who is the 2nd youngest.

Miotch is too lame to sit with the cool kids at lunch. This thread is almost completely full of win, just looking at everyone's avatars.

I'm guessing the books carry on over a large time frame and as the story progresses some of the younger characters like Joffrey, The Younger Stark children and Catelyn's Nephew who still sucks booby will be replaced with older actors for future seasons? |

Would have picked him had I not chosen The Imp. Looking forward to seeing him slaughter people at some point. Hoping it happens this season and that I don't have to wait.

The book is really worth reading, and I don't think they could be doing any better considering the length of the source material. What they've changed or omitted mostly makes sense.
Still some crazy shit to go, my friends. |

I've got no desire to read the books while the show is still on the air. I'd rather be surprised.
Maybe a few years down the line once the series is over, I'll look at reading them. |

Well the first book is almost over anyway, so you might as well read it after the finale while you wait for the second "season".

Only 3 more episodes to go. |

I kind of want all episodes of this show to be over and done, all seasons. I hate waiting and just want to watch it from start to finish right now.

Just finished watching episode 7...the build to the climax (pardon the sequential posting pun) of the story has absolutely been brilliant. Very very curious to see when the White Walkers play a role in things up at the wall.
We've got White Walkers and Khal Drogo both making their way to King's landing, and an absolute storm of shit in the capital. When all these three things converge...madness |
