I always wanted them to delve deeper into the Scranton Strangler thing but it could just be something that's always in the background.

last night's episode was amazing. would have been so much better if Deangelo, was just, not there, though.

I liked this week's episode much better. Loved when they went to Meredith's house.

Loved that pam ran him down, though she would neve be let through security IRL.
Rest was ok. Kind of anti-climatic IMHO. But his stop and look around one last time and meeting eyes with Jim was crazy emotional. |

Not too sure about the Erin-Phyllis angle in there, but worth the read for the names on the season finale. |

I think the "real" Scranton Strangler, who Toby seems to think is still at large, will get hired by Dunder Mifflin.
Not really be the actual strangler, but really creepy and people in the office start to worry it is for a comedic paranoia. Will Arnett actually seems like the type that would pull that off. I don't know who is taking over for Michael out of the crop, or if it's someone else altogether, but I guess I'd favor Ricky Gervais. I'm still not behind the idea of continuing without Michael Scott, or even writing him off the show in anything less than the season finale. I will give it all a chance though. My biggest hope is that Michael ultimately comes back after a short hiatus. |

Would love Gervais to take over but there isn't a chance he does it.
Caught up, enjoyed all 3 episodes. Not sure what people aren't liking about Will Ferrell, I like him in this more than just about anything I've seen him in. Have probably never laughed harder at a scene in the US version than Michael laughing at his gift for Oscar/Oscar's reaction. |

I wouldn't mind seeing Darryl take over. They've kind of set this up in previous episodes and hinted at it with Michael giving Darryl his "How to Manage" book.
I just don't see a $20 million a movie guy stepping in to take that role for the long term. |

Ferrell can still make some pretty good cash doing The Office. He can always do movies during the summer.

The previews for the rest of the season seem to suggest that Ferrell quits almost immediately, hence the celebs all coming in to interview as replacements.
But yeah, Darryl is a good choice. Wonder how long it'll be before Michael makes a drop-in appearance when he's "on vacation" or something. Would be surprised if there isn't one during next season. |

Yeah, next week would be the fourth. I guess we are going to see some sort of epic meltdown/train wreck on Thursday.

Did NOT expect to see D'Angelo get written off that way.
Darryl is definitely gonna be the new manager. Hinted at it again tonight. |

I think the show will be alright. Michael was a bit of a downer as a character the past two seasons. I enjoy the office when it's upbeat and light. Between the whole season of impending downsizing, Michael losing Holly and Jim and Pam getting married and ceasing to be funny, the shows been hit or miss for me. Dwight and Kevin have still been consistently funny though.
A new face like Catherine Tate could be refreshing. I still think Darryl would be good too. |
