Loved the show!
Stop teasing the GTS if you aren't going to let him use it That tag match was super sloppy, but recovered at the end. Corbin v Bull, so tired of seeing this already. Why was it even no dq? Did either of them do anything illegal? Balor v Neville was awesome! Divas 4-way was pretty damn epic as far as diva matches go. Miles better than anything they have done on the main roster in years. Zayn v Owens was great, loved the finish but just for a second, for a second, I thought we were gonna see the package piledriver. Never gonna happen, I know, but still fun to hope. Gimmie da GTS!! |

What a fucking main event. Storytelling at its finest.loved the finish. They had me for a second with the match stoppage. But as soon as he handed him the belt, it became brilliant.
I will continue to argue how anyone on the main roster cannot see how the style and approach to nxt is so fucking appealing. |

Got home from work around 12:30AM... watched it anyways...
Enjoyed it... Neville/Balor was great, and Zayn/Owens had some great "storytelling" or whatever. Women's match was good... finish seemed "anti-climactic"... Tag Team match was unfortunate... Lucha Dragons slipping up a few times.... Blake and Murphy also seem... I dunno... I was very impressed at their work when they were jobbing to people, but now I'm like "show me the stuff that impressed me before".... Don't remember what it was.... Still not "into" Hideo Itami, but he is getting better.... Corbin/Bull was what it was.... |

Corbin/Bull is still more well done than any story on Raw or Smackdown.

I was really impressed with what I watched of the show, I fell asleep a couple of times. That was due to my cancer BTW, not the quality of the show, just thought I should point that out before the jokes/flaming started.
Kevin Owens is ready to be on the main roster, I've only seen this one match since he has signed with WWE, and it was better than what some guys on Raw and Smackdown are producing, I hope he keeps it up. Sami and Adrian Neville were good as usual, and Finn Balor and KENTA are fitting in nicely. I missed the Diva's match, but will catch up on that over the weekend on the WWE Network. Overall, these shows are still really producing some quality, HHH is doing a great job with NXT, love him or hate him, he needs to be commended for the shows he is putting on. And in saying all this, I'm really looking forward to this 'class' being promoted to the main roster, I think it will be a future HOF group in years to come |

Great show, and the main event was perfectly done IMO. Loved every minute of it
-The entrances were well done with the Gorilla shots/bass beat and the silence from the commentators -Zayn's selling was awesome -Owens constantly going for covers (during majority of the match) made sense. I hate when guys say " I need that title", but they display little urgency when trying to win it -Zayn only having luck with aerial moves and getting burned with the "concussion" -Loved the finish too, because yes we know Owens is a heel but him and commentators kept saying "This is business, it's for his family," so his actions were somewhat justified. Well towards the finish, Owens refused to pin Zayn even when he knew the match was over (his punches to the head and multiple powerbombs), which showed that he's truly just a bully and enjoys it. Perfectly done and both of their characters grew |

This applies to the women even more. My wife has come to a point where Diva matches are piss breaks for her and last night was amazed at the 4way. Her exact words were “Holy shit, someone forgot to tell them they are not supposed to put on entertaining matches” |

At the same time though I'd have to imagine there is a significant pay bump for going from NXT to the main roster so those guys have every incentive to want to jump up

Just shame "The Universe" loses out in that case though. A guy I work with is convinced that Fandango, Ascension, and Bo Dallas are all a "worthless waste of space" simply because of how they re presented on the "big show". |

Considering the rumored gimmick for Neville was a Mighty Mouse rip off, yeah, I wouldn't want to move up either.
I sure as hell would be nervous about moving up if I was a Diva also. But yeah, money talks I guess. |

Solid show. As always, these NXT Takeovers completely blow anything WWE has done recently out of the water.
I preferred the last Takeover, but Balor/Neville and Owens/Zayn were awesome. The women's match was (as others have said), probably the best women's match in ten years. Tag match and the Bull/Corbin match were kinda meh though. Also, Jason Albert sounds like Jesse Ventura. |

I don't know. Sometimes there's good use of an anti-climactic ending and I feel like this was one of those. Like how Lesnar destroying Cena and getting the three was like "Wait... that was it? Holy shit." I kinda enjoyed that span where the ref was talking with the doctors and there was that hectic "What should I do???" and then him finally pulling Owens off and having that moment of "Wait... is that a title change?" and then the crowd popping when he gave him the title. It was great drama without the need of a sudden finish.

* I honestly preferred Itami and Breeze's tournament match, but I did like this opener. I kind of think they should have just not done Dempsey vs. Corbin yet and had Breeze and Itami go longer and tell a more epic story of guys looking to get back into contention. Promote Dempsey vs. Corbin as a "TV" main the following week or something. Sell it with more promos.
* Itami teasing the GTS is pretty great. When he does hit it, it's going to get a massive pop, and might mark his move up to the NXT Title picture. I like him in his "upper mid-card" role in NXT at the moment. He needs some time to adjust and really find the groove, which he is getting closer to every week. * Breeze is an MVP down in NXT. I've seen a lot of people in the internet complain that he's been swept under the rug since the arrival of Owens, Balor & Itami; but the dude has seriously been in overdrive making whoever he works with look great. Plus, his character is basically bulletproof when it comes to losing and still being an annoying threat. He never gets walked over. He's like the Kane of NXT, in a non-aesthetic sort of way. I'd actually keen for a Breeze face turn though. * I like Dempsey, and there's something about his character that I am growing to enjoy. I wasn't sold on him at first, but I like the humanity of his monster. He's just these rough guy from Brooklyn who grew up fighting and wants to make money off it -- and when he loses he really doesn't like it. I figure he's at some sort of crossroads though. He needs to either turn face and beat up someone that the NXT Galaxy really doesn't like (CJ Parker or the current incarnation of Tyler Breeze would be my picks), or he needs to evolve his heel character. I'd suggest a really vicious attack on Baron Corbin, writing him off television for a few weeks. It plays off Corbin essentially giving Dempsey mercy at Rival. But they just put Zayn out, so maybe they should just have Dempsey stew for a while and then join Solomon Crowe as part of a group called "The Murder" or something like that? * There were a few slips during the Tag Team Title match, but overall I thought that was fun, and Blake & Murphy remind me of Cesaro & Kidd in how they are trying to be as inventive a team as possible. They're certainly not main roster ready, but I think they'll come out of NXT a damn fine tag team. I liked the running suplex/Frog Splash combo to finish off the Dragons. Sin Cara and Kalisto are a main roster ready team, time to move them up. A few more serious teams need to be established in NXT though. Maybe The Ascension can rise to the challenge of Blake & Murphy for the next Takeover, in the meantime? * Murphy & Blake's white attire worked better than their black stuff, in my opinion, but their theme music still sucks. * Balor and Neville tore it down. Good on them. Neville is doing a great job as the guy putting over the next wave of NXT talent before moving onto the main roster. I'd like to see him face Itami at the next Takeover. * The Fatal 4-Way was actually my favorite match on the show. Man, these girls tore it down. Becky Lynch's character is still kind of...undefined. If Charlotte moves up the main roster, she might get something more clear. But I kind of want to see more chapters in the Charlotte vs. Banks story too. Not sure about Becky wearing grey and red though. * The main event told a brilliant story. I actually really liked the ending. Zayn took a beating, but it was actually his overzealousness that knocked him loopy and allowed Owens to go into kill mode. He took like six powerbombs, and it struck an emotional chord with the audience. It was overkiil, which is heelish, but it sold Zayn as resilient. I like that the match was stopped too, because it adds a personal sting to it, and despite the one-sidedness of an outcome like that, it actually does leave a "non-finish" bitter taste to it. Zayn was never pinned and he never submitted, and the dude might have just kept kicking out if it weren't for the referee making the call. Zayn will take some time off and then come back for some Owens blood. |

They book it immensely well. The 6 to 8 weeks between big shows also helps the hype. Allows the stories to build.
