Looking at the remaining schedule for the AFCW, Raiders probably have the easiest left and the Chiefs the hardest. This next week will go a decent way towards seeing where the division is going with Oakland @ San Diego on Thursday and Denver @ KC on Sunday

Props to Flacco. Great game. He needs to do it more often. Obviously he has it in him,.
I wish the Colts had playmakers like Patrick Peterson. I really think Jerraud Powers is underrated and his pick six yesterday for the Colts wasn't dumb luck. He read the play beautifully. If you told me the Colts could add the Honeybadger, Burfict and maybe Reid from LSU, for Luck, id atleast think about it. Im desperate for a play making defense. Miami is just dumb. They will regret winning. Bill Simmons has been dead on since the beginning of the season. The Colts are smart enough to tank for Luck. Im suprised no one has talked about the Colts holding a healthy, active, Addai out the last two games. The Indystar is starting to CRUSH the Colts front office in the papers. Bob Kravitz wrote a scathing article about Chris Polian and his toxicity . Someone is losing there job. The Colts could have gotten Daulton in the draft. They still would have been bad this year and could have picked up a great defensive play maker in this draft. Instead, they need to get Luck. I love Peyton, but 3 neck surgeries and he might not be ok? Even if he was, you can't not draft Luck. It would be like the Cavs not drafting Lebron. It's time for a regime change and a philosophy change. You can't draft small fast players and expect to play with a lead. It's just a dumb philosophy. |

Nothing that can really be done about it, but if Peyton actually DOES come back healthy next year - you know the NFL front office is going to be pissed off that a potential star like Luck might be riding the pine for 3 years. Unlike Rodgers who wasn't viewed as an immediate franchise changer when he got picked.

These two upcoming games against Jacksonville are really going to test the Colts' dedication to tanking the season. They're gonna get legit wrecked in every other game they have left whether they try or not, but Jacksonville could ruin it all for them.

In a way I'm surprised a team like Jacksonville or the Titans doesn't just lay down for a game or two to ensure the Colts don't get a player who could wreck their world for another decade.

I imagine the Jags/Colts game will be like that episode of South Park where they both want to lose, just to get out of the playoffs. Granted neither team is making the playoffs anyways. |

I'm fairly certain that the "suck for luck" thing is primarily a myth. No coaching staff wants to risk their jobs by tanking an entire season.

Fuck Steve Young
In the pregame he was saying how before the season he had a dream that the NFC Championship game would be in Green Bay and had the best two offensives in the league, with the Eagles and the Pack.. Eat shit, Steve Young.. |

Niners are favored by 3.5 (I think that's what Bill Simmons said) on the spreads and I'm feeling alright about it. I do feel like we'll probably be in trouble if the Giants do a pretty good job of shutting the run down. If it comes down to Eli vs Smith, I'm taking Eli every time. However; I don't see the Giants D being able to completely stop the run.
Either way, gonna be a brawl. |

Again, the only silver lining I can see in the Eagles playing like garbage, is they'll get rid of Andy Reid...apparently 13 years isn't enough to Jeff. Perhaps an epic failure like this will be the impetus needed.

Luckily this one isn't for the wild card. Eli has got the crazy eyes this season.
Although, I'm still not sold that Smith isn't going to try to throw long eventually this season if he's forced into a match-up with a great quarterback. Who knows, maybe he can be fairly consistent with the cannon this year? Everything else has seemed to turn around for him, why the fuck not? |
