I thought Xavier Woods was an odd choice as the first guy to have Bull Dempsey steam-roll. I'm not sold on him, but Gertner is, and Gertner is usually right. I want the persona to succeed, but he just looks like such a baby-faced guy. It feels like the guy should have a massive chip on his shoulder. He seems like the sort of personality that would have done really well in ECW or on the Heyman SmackDown era.

Becky Lynch is adorable. I love how the women are treated down in NXT. I'm thinking Summer Rae beats Bayley (haven't read the spoilers) and Sasha appears in her corner against Charlotte. Meanwhile, Banks can get wins against Alexa Bliss and Bayley to build her up as a challenger.

I really want to see Christian join an announce team. I've always thought he'd make a great commentator, although not all good talkers do. His work on panel shows has been, in my opinion, exemplary. He knows what to focus on when putting guys over. Plus, he's quick-witted enough to jabber back and forth and not look lost. He's funny enough to make nice quips. And he's got the ability to play both a face and heel character well. I think he'd have a good dynamic with Michael Cole and JBL. He'd bicker with JBL just enough to give different perspectives, but not enough for it to become distracting from the show. Trial it out on SmackDown.

Feel like it's been said ad nauseum on here but they seriously need to either call the Ascension up or just get rid of them at this point. I believe they're both in their mid-30s or so and have been in development for several years. Actually I think this is Konnor's second run with the company so he's probably somewhere around 7-8 years in development. I really don't think there's anything left for them to do in NXT. They need to sink or swim on the main roster.

Discussion in this thread dropped dramatically once it got on the WWE network and people stopped posting links. I am guilty of it too.

Ya, definitely need to do something with the Ascension. They started off soo good as a 5 person stable

Interesting to see how Rosa Mendes does down in NXT. Still want to see her bring back Epico & Primo dammit!

Bull Dempsey is starting to grow on me, and weirdly enough, I sort of like the pairing with Mojo Rawley. They both seem like "immature" gimmicks to me, and two guys that are a little out of their depth playing them. I think that the contrast they are going for might sharpen them as performers nicely and allow you to care and empathise with them a bit more.
