My brother once met Booker T at a store near the Breslin Center on Michigan State University campus where a house show is being held. As I've mentioned a few times before I've met the legendary Bob Baxcklund outside that building at a house show or two, and he's genuinely one of the nicest, funniest guys you could ever hope to meet.

Met Goldberg at a car show here in San Diego. He was eyeing my dad's hot rod and talked muscle cars with us before fist bumping me and taking a picture.

Met Jim Duggan and Honky Tonk Man at a comic convention here a couple years back. Got to talk with Duggan for a bit since their booth was pretty empty. Think I pissed off Honky though. Got Duggan's autograph and they offered to throw in Honky's for half price. Told him no and got a pissy look before he left the booth. Also met Kofi Kingston very briefly after a house show.

Met Stone Cold Steve Austin, Debra, Raven, Brock Lesnar, Big Show, in the lobby of the arena after a live show when I was a kid and got their autographs. Also met William Regal but he was kind of a dick, not sure if he was staying in character or what but he was being mean to people all the way to where ever he was going. Oh and Jerry Lawler at a Minor League Baseball game.

Yeah, was in the lobby of the arena which also had a bar that a few other wrestlers were at but back to Brock, he was in the lobby signing autographs for fans as they left the arena along with the others I mentioned. Wasn't at a table or anything just casually walking around the lobby talking to fans and signing things. Also met Trishes mom who looks a lot like Trish, she was hanging around the Big Show. I was a kid so even Regal being a dick was cool. Undertaker, JBL, and Mark Henry were at the bar.

I've shaken James Storm's hand at a house show and walked past Kevin Nash at a Comic-con. We exchanged nods. A good day.

Where's Ezekiel Kane to come in here and rattle off all the backyard wrestlers he's met while on random shopping trips to Wal-Mart and dinners at McDonald's?

My old dorm was in the New Yorker hotel right above The Manhattan Center. ECW ONS RVD was staying in that hotel and I smoked him up in my dorm room with two women and my roomate. He didn't stay long but it was really cool. I just saw him in the lobby and introduced myself and asked him if he wanted to smoke, so they came up.
I knew Mr. Fuji, he lived in my hometown. I know Dirty White Boy, and Kane they also lived around my hometown. I met Bob Backlund in time square a few years ago when I was at work, he was awesome and put me in a crossface chicken wing and stiffed me. Seriously. Also think he might literally be crazy. I know Bill Apter, you guys wouldn't even believe those stories, and I wouldn't tell them. I'll just say this, you think wrestling is his life? Try Karaoke. I think that's it. |
