DAMN, this is a real low point in wrestling.
RIP Benoit... lost an incredible wrestler and the knowledge he could've passed on wrestling is irreplaceable. |

Out of all the wrestling sites on the net. This must have been the hardest hit. Took me a while just to get in here and finally make a post after the site crashed. Every other site was easy to get into.
With that out of the way. A few tidbits have come to light. This is making it's way around the major news networks and sites. Atlanta P.D. is treating this as a homicide right now. However, no gun has been used. Autopsy results should be out around tuesday. R.I.P. Chris Benoit. You were one of the best in the business who always went out of his way to give a good show. Forever you'll be missed. |

My favorite wrestler is dead. The guy who kept me a fan for so long is gone.
Watching him and Angle from the Royal Rumble live was amazing and the best match I've ever seen in person. You could tell he gave everything just to entertain fans. RIP Benoit, I'm sure gonna miss you. |

Wow. I was at work and heard the news in an email.
I just felt numb. I had to just stop what I was doing. Wow is it gonna be tough when they show the end of WM 20 tonight on Raw with Eddie and him standing there hugging each other at the end. RIP Benoit. |

I'm still in shock, I feel for his friends and his family. It's just a complete tragedy. He was a fantastic wrestler and really will be missed.
I have to hand it to Vince, he did the right thing by standing in the ring. RIP Chris Benoit. |

Why are the best always taken away from us too soon?
Maybe it's because extraordinary people make their mark immediately, and once they have delivered their service to this world, there is nothing else but to have them recalled back to the next. But Dean Malenko said it best. At least right now, Benoit and Eddie are putting on a wrestling show for the ages, high up in the heavens. |

U know, I don't know what to say. Part of me wants that if this is a homicide, for that person to be fried for what they did. Part of me wants it to be carbon monoxide poisoning.
All of me wants the Crippler back |

Initially, my responses generally settled on "WHAT THE FUCK???" and "WHAT THE FUCK????" Although if they can have autopsy results by tomorrow (that's fast), something tells me we're bound to hear more unpleasant news. |

I can't believe it... I woke up 25 minutes into Raw and switched it over to USA and saw "Remembering Chris Benoit" and immediately said WHAT?! NO WAY! I am at a loss... I just looked earlier and saw that WSB-TV, WXIA and WAGA in Atlanta are all reporting his death. R.I.P. Benoit and family.

You know something kind've ironic?
Eddie's last match was against an up and comer in Mr. Kennedy Benoit's last TV match was against another up and comer in Elijah Burke and was scheduled to face another up and comer in CM Punk last night. But it's still a bitter pill to swallow. |

I didn't know until I turned on Raw (and only NOW have I been able to come on TPWW)
Two words: fucked up. R.I.P., "Crippler": one of the best pure in-ring performers, arguably THE best, of all time. |

I'm not even sure what to say about this. Chris Benoit is one of my favorite wrestlers of all time, and I've seen a good majority of his matches. Anyone who had read anything about him, or watched anything about him, knows what a great human being he was. The thought of this being a homicide is absolutely sickening. I'm absolutely in shock.
Rest in peace, Benoit family. This is hitting me harder than Eddie's, and I hate to say that, but it's true. Forget about WWE works, forget about McMahon, forget about Vengence...this is an absolutely tragedy. The man was an icon, inside and ourside of the ring. I'm not sure I could say anything else without rambling. The man and his entire family. It's sickening, saddening, and horrific. I hope they find whoever did this, and find him quickly. He doesn't deserve another minute free. |

Watching Edge's testimonial there was hard.
I just can't imagine how hurt so many people must be right now. Malenko, Regal, Kurt Angle, Jericho to name a few. Just as I type that I can see JBL hurting as well. I still really don't know how to respond to the news. Like many I turned Raw on expecting the McMahon angle and I saw the video of him winning at WM 20. Remembering hearing that he had flown home for a family emergency, I thought that maybe something had happened with his family and he had retired. Then that message "In Memory of Chris Benoit - 1967 - 2007" appeared and it took a moment to figure out what it meant. I still just cannot believe this. |

Yeah, James Steele and I were discussing how you could make a sort of "Abraham Lincoln/JFK Similarities" sort of list between Benoit and Guerrero.

I was a bigger fan of Eddie's than Benoit's, I admit it. However the fact that Benoit and his family died is the biggest shock factor in this, because that's something I don't think has ever happened in pro wrestling. |
