He's totally doing an 11th hour save c'mon. Realistic and gritty as WD is, it still throws in cliche tropes when warrented, not that it's a bad thing.

It was more of an appearance than a return. Good filler episode but Filler none the less.

I really enjoyed that episode. One of the more haunting episodes they've had.

- Carl calmly shooting people now.
- The way they left the guy at the beginning, then find him torn to pieces at the end and go back to take his bag.
- The whole of Morgan's mental stability.

And we finally got some personality shoved into Michonne which is all well and good.

A commentator noted humorously that Michonne is the first character to make Carl stay in one place for a minute. They could run with this as Michonne being new mother/big sister figure who puts a stamp on Carl's unstoppable growth into the ultimate zombie killer. Rick has more or less forgotten he's a kid, and damn there accepts him as some kind of lieutenant (just below Daryl in rank honestly). But Michonne's 'No I'm the adult here' approach was refreshing.

Also note this episode was written by the guy who will run the show next season. A full season of character stuff like that would be great.

Also an easy way for the group to suddenly have more ammo.

Interesting how the guy they left behind was torn to shreds and they stop only to pick up his pack. Shows the frame of mind of Rick's crew. Michonne calling whatever the hell that animal statue was "delicious" immediately made her more likable to me.

Awesome episode, wouldn't consider it a filler, more of a development one. Nice to see Michonne have a bit more personality and drop her guard with Rick, had a bit of a chuckle when she brought out that ridiculous cat helping out Carl.

When Rick pulled the mask off I was hoping it was someone from his past, very happy it was Morgan reappearing, but god he is messed up. Maybe he'll snap out of it and search for Rick and the gang to hook up with them, but I doubt he will, he's just too broken.

And holy shit, Michonne has a personality now. It's tough for an actor to get by when every line is just *INTENSE GLARE*. She's human now, with emotional attachments outside of that small range we've seen up to now. As mentioned in the episode, she's "one of us."
