Covering NXT, Impact, and Raw. Plus light dashes of Smackdown & Main Event. We also discuss the Scooby Doo Wrestlemania Mystery DVD. --------------------------------- Question Of The Week: Which young up and comer would you add to a new Evolution, and why? Question of the week:
I'll be the first to say Cody Rhodes. He fits in terms of the look. He has history as part if a group with Orton. He has history with The Authority that would make his turn on Goldust all the more "shocking". I really like Cody and it seems a lot of others do. He just needs that one thing to launch him from being "one of those guys that's been middling around for almost a decade". He's been on the cusp previously (feud with Orton, stuff with The Authority) but they've never gone "all in" with him. |

I think it should be Sheamus. The guy has nothing going on for him except for feuding with Christian between concussions. He'd be the new muscle of the group as he's more intimidating than a 265 lbs 44-50 year old who dresses like an emo teenager. It'd give him a legitimate reason to be an asshole instead of just being one, but cheer for him because he smiles.

Since XL covered Cody Rhodes perfectly, I'll go with Kofi Kingston. They can talk about his initial success, but how he has become a cartoon superhero trying to make all the people happy. A man who can steal the show due to his pure athleticism and his passion...yet a man who has yet to evolve...until now. Kofi Kingston joins Evolution and is in a role like that of Seth Rollins in The Shield. Kofi quits all the jumping and such, but is still high energy and high impact. Slowly as the year progresses, he starts doing those big moves that get big pops. He starts smiling at the big reactions. At Survivor Series, he ends up playing to the crowd and getting fired up due to their positive response, but it ends up costing them the match. He gets the hell beaten out of him for it the next night on RAW. They continue to build the tension through the Royal Rumble when they demand that Kofi eliminate himself to give Randy/Batista the win. Kofi finally stands up for himself and fights back. He does his normal 'HOLY SHIT, HOW DID HE KEEP FROM BEING ELIMINATED!!!" spot and does a huge springboard on the posing/taunting Orton/Batista and Kofi goes on a huge roll of momentum. Kofi takes a huge risk and does a diving cross body or something to eliminate the opponent hanging onto the ropes, but he hangs on like a crazy monkey in the ropes to win the 2015 Royal Rumble and go on to headline WrestleMania XXXI for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
You could do that same storyline with Cody, but less flips. |

Bo Dallas
Triple H has said that NXT is the future of WWE. Bo Dallas is there, his promos airing, touring with the main roster, he's ready. I BOlieve he's ready! and from a personal standpoint he was my pick in survivor so I don't want to see him hit 3 weeks. |

Ambrose and Rollins.
It would follow the original group's "future" guys being two people (Orton, Batista) and let the Shield breakup expand into a bigger feud than just something to likely benefit only Reigns. Bryan could then recruit Reigns and form his own anti-Evolution group with a few other guys who could also benefit from doing something really meaningful. |

Cody Rhodes and Kofi Kingston are both great picks. I'd be for Bo Dallas too. It'd be a way to push him into the spotlight. I'm a little worried that his Bolieve stuff may not connect as well as the WWE would like on its own. But with Evolution? It could be gold.
For some reason, I can't help but wonder about the possibility of a heel Big E too. If the WWE are certain they want to push him, that is. |

Had another thought: if they wanted to move him away from comedy midcard gimmick territory, y'know who'd be a great pick...
Johnny Curtis. |

Fandango needs to evolve, since the novelty is gone from the gimmick. He doesn't need to lose all elements of it.

Johnny Curtis can never come back unless Curtis Axel goes away, though. Can't have more than one "Curtis", it would confuse the WWE Universe.

The reason Summer Rae isn't involved with the whole ongoing Fandango/Layla/Santino/Emma thing is that she's away filming for The Marine 4 with The Miz.
