Abigail Jeanette Lee. She was "down and out", living in cars and on the streets with her family... when she met a boy named Bray... and hatched a plan to change the world....

Nikki Bella.
Bray follows her around trying to woo her, while completely ignoring Brie. It turns out Sister Abigail was a stripper down in the Bayou with huge fake cans who was dating an overgrown manchild. |

Why can't Bryan just be on shows injured and not wrestle?

So we need someone to "play" Sister Abigail...
Sister Abigail, according to the current canon, is old enough to have taught Bray Wyatt from a young age (as per his promo about Sister Abigail). So she should be at least 20 years older than Bray Wyatt. She also needs to know a thing or two about warfare, as she taught him from a young age to strike first. This is the perfect role for a wrestler. We need someone old enough to be an influential adult in Bray's childhood, preferably someone who the casual fans won't recognize, and as this is the WWE someone who can take a bump and possibly work a match. She would be someone wise, someone to cut promos, and a "human shield" when need be. She would be to Bray what Harper and Rowan are to Bray. That figurehead who is the paragon of everything they NEED to be. The leader of the leader. SPOILER: show |

Marry - Batista. Get me some of that Guardians of the Galaxy money!
Fuck - Randy. Because fuck Randy. Kill - Triple H. No real reason. He's just the last one left. Almost did Marry for him, but his family business is losing money like crazy. |

Cayse's rant on Rollins is exactly why I stopped watching wrestling. I just. couldn't. take. the nonsense anymore.
As for the QotW: "Rollins is going to turn on them next week like Bryan did to the Wyatts." |

He probably thought Reigns being the chosen one in The Shield was the biggest injustice there was. So, he took Batista spot in Evolution after curb-stomping him out of the WWE at the PPV.

Yeah, it makes complete sense to become enraged at something that may happen. It makes sense to end The Shield now and keep Rollins in a stable. What is left for The Shield to do? Reigns is ready for his push and Ambrose will be fine on his own. Rollins still needs some work and letting him work with main eventers and a different type of heel will help flesh him out until he is ready fly solo. From Rollins standpoint, he has busted his ass to keep The Shield together and yet he is still perceived as the 3rd in the hierarchy and why keep fighting what you can't truly defeat? Rollins found the greatest injustice worth fighting for was him not becoming the breakout star of The Shield. FFS if you overthink every heel/face turn in wrestling history, they'll never make sense. The whole point of turning a guy is to give a dramatic and major shift/change in their character.

So, he goes from 3rd in the hierarchy of the Shield to 3rd in the hierarchy of Evolution. That's a pretty lateral move, if not a step back - since the two guys ahead of him are multiple-time World Champions.

In theory, his motivation is that he is going to reap what Batista wasn't patient enough to get.

Still doesn't make sense. H had this "plan B" before Batista walked out on Evolution, so Seth wouldn't have made the deal expecting anything related to Batista's position.

Joining Evolution makes sense. Why keep fighting if even when you beat the shit out of them you still don't "win"? Especially when you were the guy working so hard to keep the group from falling apart to begin with. Batista leaving was just the last thing needed to convince Rollins to make the switch because now Evolution needs a 3rd man and more desperate than ever and willing to offer him even more.

Do seriously expect WWE to have Rollins and HHH reveal some convoluted master plan? Why is selling out for power and money not good enough motivation? Why keep fighting a war you can't win? Booker T's reasoning on the post show was perfect enough for the story.

And like I said in the 'cast, it runs completely counter to what we've seen of Rollins' character-- "Hey, you know all that stuff I said and did to show that I was the guy always willing to put my life on the line for the group and our cause? Turns out all that was a lie and I was just a greedy asshole all along. Though really if all I was looking for was money and power I wouldn't have left the Authority in the first fucking place but hey, who needs sensible motivations?" And no, joining Evolution doesn't 'make sense' if you've already beaten them to the point where one of them walks out. WWE's nebulously complicated authority-figure structure means that Trips wouldn't be able to just fire the Shield without Vince or the Board of Directors or whoever the fuck coming out to overturn it (and if he could just can them, he would've done it as soon as they turned on him). And they've annihilated every goon squad Trips has thrown at them. So again, why jump ship right when you're winning to be the lowest man on a totem pole that you're already chopping down? |

The fact that Batista left couldn't have had anything to do with Rollins joing because, again, H said that Plan B was in the works before Batista quit, which meant that Rollins was already going to join. Oh, and none of this actually explains Rollins' motivation. |

Power and money isn't good enough motivation because it runs against Rollins' character. They did win the war. Booker T hasn't been interesting since he split from Goldust and post-shows don't matter. |

Power and money does work. You are just being difficult. I get this isn't what you wanted, but it really isn't bad. Ambrose and Reigns are already ready for singles runs and Rollins needs a it of work. Putting him with Trips works. And as I said on the podcast, if he came out and was like "Triple H gave me a million dollars and a future title shot," I would buy it and it would make sense. Also, If Rollins truly believes he's a master group architect, why wouldn't he wants to form an alliance with two of the Kayfabe best guys in the company? Not to mention he's got a guy with power on his side now. It works. You just aren't letting it work.

What does being an "architect" even have to do with that? How does being the core of The Shield benefit him when working with two guys who have been working together for so long, now? All H has to do is tell Randy he wants an apology, and Orton immediately gets on his knees, so what does Rollins have to do with their relationship? Quote:
Just because we're pointing out how illogical this is doesn't mean that we're the reason it isn't logical. |

The guy in charge that he was thrashing has decided he can't beat him so he's used his money and power to get him to "join the dark side" and fight FOR him. Rollins once stood for justice and now he's a sellout turning on his friends to do what's best for himself. It's a wrestling heel turn. Ever seen one?

And it's that sort or dismissive attitude that is why WWE will never have consistent internal logic in their storytelling. No other fiction medium gets this response. If midway through Episode VII, Han Solo - former smuggler and overall scoundrel-turned-hero of the Rebellion that overthrew the Empire - decided to shoot Luke and Chewie and align himself with the regional governor holding on to the last vestige of Imperial power for no reason other than "he paid me more than Mon Mothma," people would be fucking furious and calling for JJ's head.
Yet, because it's pro wrestling "... You're asking why a pro wrestling character would become evil and corrupt. Jesus Christ." is somehow a "winning" argument. |

Rollins did not need work, in my opinion.... he was fantastic as a face, and I think he had easily become #2 in the hierarchy, possibly on his way to becoming #1 in the eyes of the fans. He had that Daniel Bryan-esque "frenzy" about him that the fans really got behind, and top that off with his crazy dives....
I have a wild conspiracy theory that they chose to turn him heel now, so that he wouldn't gain even more steam and outshine their chosen one Roman Reigns. |

Hulk Hogan was the greatest good guy wrestling had ever seen. He had everything he could have possibly wanted and he became evil and corrupt. Did that drive you as nuts? Rollins wasn't even that far removed from being a heel henchman for the authority, FFS. How is it so hard to buy him turning his back on his friends and turning into a selfish prick for money and power? Something just about every wrestler has done at some point in the history of the business to keep stories and characters progressing. |
