Thats the first PPV I have paid for and watched cover to cover in years. I enjoyed it all immensely until the main event.
I enjoyed the womens matches, I didnt tune out at Corban vs. Miz which is a miracle as both make me want to change the channel and once I realized AJ was getting some offense in I enjoyed the hell out of that match. My two issues with it were. 1. AJ Could have won. It wouldn't have hurt Brock at all to lose on some kind of uber fluke from a crazy Styles spot. Frame it as a "can you believe AJ actually pulled that shit off?". Maybe, just maybe push AJ onto another level and either line up a cross brand rematch later or keep the two apart and drive any story you want. AJ is ducking Brock, Brock is worried by AJ, or just go full WWE and ignore it ever happened. 2. All dreams aside they should have put the SS Match up second last and finish with AJ vs. Brock. Have your general clusterfuck of an ending that made no sense to the SS match and go into AJ vs. Brock with people daring to believe on some of those pinfalls for AJ and Smackdown finding a little redemption in a galant defeat. Smackdown came off as the chump show in that main event. I really quite enjoyed the show but I had dared to hope the days of HHH/Mc Mahon ego booking were done and I was wrong. the good news was as a guy who doesnt watch much Raw or SD anymore I saw enough goods guys to be interested in the future of wrestling. I just dont know how much they can truly star while we trot out a wasted away looking Angle, a pudgy HHH and Shane O Mac as the headliners with Braun Stauman playing the lost child on the roadside to it all. |

Watching Vince shut KO down when KO tried to talk to him in gorilla after the Mania match because he was disappointed in it is painful.
"We good?" "No." "No?" "No." Ooooof |

2 weeks ago I would have told you Brock vs AJ was impossible.
WWE is throwing a lot of curveballs ever since the illness spree last month. And I can't say I don't like the vast majority of them more than the typical booking thus far. Everything was basically paint by numbers and easy to predict, now there is an aspect of uncertainty to it that I feel was missing. Heel HHH is probably about to put face Braun over....did anyone see that coming before tonight? HHH putting anyone over is saying something because HHH. |

Hi Triple A, it's me Lock Jaw. Don't worry, I'm here.
Thought it was a good show overall. Weak points were the main event and the five on five women's match. Every other match was very good I think, and I have to mull over what I would choose as match of the night....... |

Kevin Owens 365 was really interesting. Crazy how hard on himself and how unsure he gets at time.
Vince basically telling him to fuck off probably didn't help. |

I don't want to come across as "mean" but I was throughly disappointed by Kurt Angle's showing in the main event tonight.

Can't really go by how Brock looked walking back, because he could have just been selling having his calf crushed.......

Lesnar would need to drop the belt in the mean time and the choices are probably Balor (still owed a title rematch and proper reign), Strowman (finally pull the trigger on his big star status), or Cena (WWE will easily come up with a half-assed reason for Cena to be Universal champ). |

Highest of the High Praise from Heyman for AJ Styles. I don't know if I've ever heard Paul put someone over like that (outside of Brock):

I think Vince just doesn't like KO like it makes him legit mad that somebody who looks like Owens is on his Flagship PPV

According to the Observer's Bryan Alvarez, Triple H supposedly hurt his ankle during the Survivor Series match and WWE changed stuff on the fly mid-way to give Triple H enough time to recover for the finish.
Edit: Alvarez speculated it might have occurred when Triple H did the knee attack off the ropes to Nakamura. Last edited by Emperor Smeat; 11-20-2017 at 03:39 AM. |

It's clear who the stars are in this company right now: They're Brock Lesnar and AJ Styles, with Velveteen Dream in distant third. Scrap all plans and run Brock vs. AJ in a unification match and Velveteen Dream & Aleister Black vs. The Usos. Nothing else matters. Retreat.

Vince never had to hire Owens. He never had to push him. He could have lost interest after his first disappointing match with Cesaro, or his disappointing match with Jericho, or his disappointing match with AJ Styles. Owens has held up his end enough to warrant all these opportunities, but has also missed the mark enough to give Vince justified doubts. He might still be something really important to the company, but he could also end up being less pretty Dolph Ziggler. |

Vince definitely likes KO.
You don't get to feud with HIS SON SHANE and headbutt him if he thinks you are awful at what you do. Vince has certain things he wants from every match and the Jericho-Owens match didn't meet what he wanted. |

Exactly. If Vince really hated KO, he wouldn’t be featured as much as he is, wouldn’t have a WWE Network special and wouldn’t have been on SS at all

I'm thinking Raw tonight should open with Triple H and Stephanie boasting about Raw's victory, but not before Stephanie welcomes everybody to Monday Night Raw in that exaggerated voice she uses.
Then they can berate Kurt for getting eliminated during the match, and possibly fire him which will lead to Triple H and Stephanie as the heel figureheads up until Mania. Sounds good. Nobody would sick of that. |

I wish there were a wrestling show where the authority figures were faces, consistent, and don't change every six months.

And then Romans music hits and he faces off with Triple H!
Kane vs Roman is made for the mainevent. The first opening match will be Shaemus and Cesaro vs The Club. |
