I was big on the Galaxy Series as it offered something different for Mario. But all the NSMB's I don't think are that amazing. Too much collecting shit, and I never dug the new graphics of 3d in a 2d world. I know graphic's aren't that important but I'd prefer something more in line with Super Mario World personally.

I'm a big fan of the NSMB series, mostly because of the multiplayer aspect of the Wii version. I think I'll buy a 3DS just for that.
But I'm also a big fan of Mario games in general. |

Wii was terrible, but SM Galaxy were good Mario games.

Yes, but it's really a non-issue because it wasn't the point. He accused them of losing it. And just because he doesn't like the games doesn't meant they're losing it. No, but the fact that I can walk erect does mean I'm normal. Pity the same cannot be said for you. |

I haven't played it. Mostly because I don't have a Wii anymore. But I have trouble seeing any of my friends being willing to come over.

Multiplayer NSMB is a completely different game than single player, and is one of the big reasons why I will be getting a WiiU.
Yes it does get heated. Especially when you pick up and throw your "friend" into a pit, so you can be the one to get the propeller hat. |

My friend's girlfriend slows us down sometimes, so I pick her character up and start running. Then sometimes I mistime a jump and her character hits a ceiling, causing her to fall in a pit or hit an enemy. It's things like this that make the game fun (for me).

Rumors are pointing to a September date for the official price announcement either as part of a Nintendo Direct or during the Tokyo Game Show.
A few more places have also rumored the price to be in the $300 range with GameTrailers being a recent one. Majority of the rumors about the price have been in the $300 to $350 range. http://www.screwattack.com/news/rumo...aled-september |

A bunch of Wii U news in regards to the games.
EA confirms the Wii U will be getting Madden 13 and FIFA 13 while Mass Effect 3 will be a launch title for the system. They also revealed videos for both sports titles running on the Wii U during their Summer Showcase event. http://gonintendo.com/?mode=viewstory&id=182520 Mass Effect 3 for thr Wii U will include an interactive story comic covering the events of Mass Effect 1 and 2 to help with the character creation for Mass Effect 3. http://gonintendo.com/?mode=viewstory&id=182527 Gamestop might have accidentally leaked out the entire Wii U's launch window lineup with about 25 games expected to be available this holiday (excluding EA games who just made their announcement recently). http://www.screwattack.com/news/game...-u-game-lineup |

Probably the biggest rumor involving the Wii U and slowly being picked up by a few other places is that Nintendo and EA are getting involved in a huge feud with each other.
The rumor revolves around the Nintendo Network during the time it was leaked Nintendo was asking Valve and EA for help with EA looking like it would win the bidding request. Supposedly Nintendo broke the talks after EA wanted exclusive treatment for the network structure and having it tied into Origin which would leave all the power with EA. EA in return has started to kill support for the Wii U with themselves having a mini-feud with their studios who still want to support the Wii U (ex. Bioware, EA's Canada studio for FIFA). It could also explain the sudden rejection of Crysis 3 for the Wii U since Crytek has the engine running on the system but EA helps fund and publishes the game. Madden itself has been gimped badly for the Wii U. Valve meanwhile has pledged more support for the Wii U which probably means Nintendo picked them to help work on the Nintendo Network. This is where the source of the rumor comes from : http://www.reddit.com/r/Games/commen...roundbreaking/ Several other sources which are mostly message boards have been trying to tie in several announcements and leaks (ex. Peter Moore's trip to Japan last year) with EA now suddenly dropping or gimping games for the Wii U. Kotaku so far seems to be the only big website that has hinted something is going on between EA and Nintendo in regards to Madden 13 being gimped. |

European launch is getting delayed by about a month due to production issues involving making the tablet pad.
US still expected to get the console around mid-November while Europe's launch now pushed to a mid-December. http://www.ibtimes.com/articles/3724...-usa-price.htm Next month's Nintendo Direct feed will reveal the price and release date for the console. So far the only teaser done by Nintendo for the feed is that there will be multi-colored Wii U systems and there will be different bundles for the console. http://www.screwattack.com/news/nint...ect-next-month Last edited by Emperor Smeat; 08-10-2012 at 05:19 PM. |

According to a leak from Gamestop, the Wii U probably will be released during Black Friday weekend and launch prices will vary from $39.99 to $59.99 (with a few currently having generic place holder values).

A couple of Wii U related news.
The Wii U version of the free-to-play Ghost Recon Online has been delayed due to Ubisoft only has a small team working on both the PC and Wii U version at the same time. They will focus on finishing the PC version first so it can be released on time and then move over to finishing the Wii U version. http://www.screwattack.com/news/ubis...t-recon-online Bethesda will not pledge any support for the Wii U for at least the near future with their main concern being they never bothered to request any SDK kits and would need a lot of time to get used to the system if they were to make games for it. The other concern is they don't want to risk making a game for it right now since they don't want to split their studio making current and next gen games at the same time. http://www.destructoid.com/bethesda-...t-234558.phtml |

There is a Wii U presentation on Nintendo Direct on the 13th of this month at 3pm UK time.
I've read some think we may get info on Smash Bros as well as release dates and prices. |

Wii U is out in November and Bayonetta is a Wii U exclusive, published by Nintendo. Other than that, there wasn't any real news.

Errrr fuck. Do your Amazon premium pre-order now. I just did it after the Bayonetta 2 news. Came up as £199.99 and Amazon are really good at upholding their mistakes.

Yeah I preordered it before I posted. When I went to preorder the premium it was £269.99 or something. By the time I logged in it had jumped up by £20.

The listing was as you said, 284.99. By the time I got to check out, it was £199.99. My conformation email is £199.99. My buddy in the bar is trying now and I think it's back to full price. If they fulfill me, it's the deal of the century.

I think they do the same as GAME and pretty much everyone else. If you preorder at £200, you pay £200. If they increase the price, you still pay just £200. If they lower it, you're charged the new low price.
Really Wish I had gotten to the site sooner. |
