We already tried drawing it out on paper, so this might have to be the route.
I really don't understand at what point I'm not making it clear to him how simple this is. I'm fairly sure it goes beyond not understanding and he thinks that I don't get what he's getting at or that I am confused. |

I think that h-bomb has something to do with the hatch, but nobody I know thinks that.

I agree. I just re-watched Man of Science, Man of Faith and when Jack is pointing his flashlight at the walls, he sees a bunch of buckets of dried concrete. So it could be that the hatch's original intention was to bury the bomb and then they discovered the property and built all the other stuff.

I kinda figured that it was implied that the bomb was the reason for the Swan hatch (that's the original hatch right?).

I dont believe this has been brought up yet.
Anyone else think that Penny and Daniel are bro/sis or half bro/sis. |

I believe this is the general idea:
We believe that Eloise Hawking is both Daniel's mother and Ellie on the Island in the 50s. We also know that Charles Widmore was on the island at the same time. The belief here is that both Hawking and Widmore were banished from the island due to some action (or perhaps left so that they could have children, thinking they could return at a later time). Many think that those two leaving is linked and thus Widmore is Daniel's father. As he is Penny's dad too, it would make Daniel and Penny at least half-siblings. |

I thought that might be the other option (no pun intended). But it seems like an odd solution to an active H-Bomb.

Holy crap.. awesome theory here.
Taken from timelooptheory as they update for the new episodes. Episode 3: Widmore is Penny and Desmond's Child Jan 30, 2009 by Jason Hunter Penny gave birth to a child named: Charlie...aka Charles Widmore. Then they go back in time on the island to around the year 1930 with young Charles Widmore. At some point, Penny and Desmond die, and then Widmore grows up on the island. Eventually, he is exiled and then leaves the island, marries Mrs. Hawking and then gives birth to Penny again, creating a loop. Note in season 4, when Ben sneaks into Widmore's room in the night. Ben: We both know I can't kill you, so I'm going to kill your daughter. Ben says this because he knows that he will be "indirectly" killing Widmore if Penny dies, thus she cannot go back in time with Charles for a second time - in other words, Ben would be altering what is supposed to be written in the past, thus creating some type of paradox. This all goes back to the notion that Widmore was responsible for killing Alex back in season 4. Perhaps... Alex was Ben's mother as well? |

Ben's mother died in childbirth, but the rest would be pretty crazy. I was wondering if Desmond and Penny would be the skeletons in the cave.

Yeah, but Alex was still a kid. I am fairly sure she left the island and came back (Ben's mom), so that is how she ages.. has Ben and dies. This could be why Ben is so shocked that she dies. Edit: You have to read the entirety of timelooptheory to get why this could work. I see it as a very possible theory. |

I would put Ben's shock more on the fact that Keamy shot her on eight rather than giving him the entire count to formulate any kind of plan to save her. It's pretty clear from the way he goes over to her and cries that she is the only person on the island he loves.
What is the rest of the theory? I was under the impression that "if it didn't happen, it can't happen." So Keamy would have always shot Alex, and Ben would have never been able to stop it, unless somehow Desmond, the only one with any special power (according to Faraday) intervened. |

lol no chance in hell Penny and Desmond are Widmore's parents. Them being the Adam and Eve skeletons, sure. Widmore and Eloise Hawking getting freaky, possibly (Farraday or Penny though if that is how it goes?) but not the Penny/Desmond/Widmore thing. Just way too generic/predictable. Pretty sure Penny and Desmond named the kid Charlie as an homage to Charlie, nothing more. And Alex being Ben's mother is beyond ludicrous

It may or may not be true, but 'generic/predictable'? Come on, what? How is that generic or predictable. To be generic, this would have to be a common happening. As for predictability, this is the first I have heard of this theory at all. Everyone else I've talked to has been clammering on about how Charlie must be -the- Charlie, which is even more ludicrous of an idea the more you think about it.

It would be predictable if it was Charlie Pace, because that's the first thing everyone thought. But it is a swerve and not predictable if it turns out to be Charles Widmore.

My first thought was that 'Oh it could be Charles or Charlie' followed by 'I hope it isn't.' Charles would be the 'less likely' of the two though if that was gonna be the case

The "I'm my own grandparent" bit can work on a show like Futurama but on here, ehhh. That's a bit much.

Was odd was discussing with my friend about Lost while it was on, just started. Mentioned three things, that Jin still alive and Ben sent lawyer after Kate (both of which were semi obvious) and that Danielle the french lady is going to make a comeback soon. He didn't believe any of it cause he's an idiot, and most my predictions are obvious. LIke all the timewarps you just think about what characters/events happened that could be reexplored now and that was an obvious one, and an awesome one.
