Celtics bringing back Eddie House and Tony Allen. Surprised by the Tony Allen move but maybe they think he won't be afraid to jump next year on his repaired knee? Pretty sure the only real dunk he had all year came in the closing seconds of the NBA finals so I dunno.

Because every game there is ruined by flares, stupid fans rushing onto the court, violence in the stands, throwing coins onto the floor. It's terrible, I've lived there, trust me.

Actually he's brilliant. He's getting paid 3 times more then he coulda possibly made in the NBA. He's also gunna be a superstar over there. And he has the option to opt out of his contract after every year and come back as a unrestricted free agent. So if he tears it up over there, which he probably will, he'll come back and get a monster contract in the NBA. But besides that, he's getting paid alot of money to play overseas. Its a pretty brilliant move by him.

He is getting a lot more money, I still wouldn't want to do it though. I mean he was gonna make millions here in the States anyway, I think I could manage off of 7 million/year instead of 10 million/year or whatever the difference ended up being. Personal choice though I guess.

What i read was that the only team that could pay him money was Atlanta and that because the free agencie money has dried up with pretty much all the teams, he was pretty much gunna have to accept whatever contract Atlanta offered. I think its a brilliant move because everyteam is look at overseas players and if he goes and tears it up for a year, he makes 10 mill guaranteed ( all the money is guaranteed ) and he can opt out and become a unrestricted free agent where someone in the NBA might pay him a ton of money.

I dunno he averaged almost 12 points per game off the bench for the Hawks, that's pretty decent. He could have went out and looked for other contracts but Atlanta had the right to match any deal so maybe he just really did not want that to happen so he went and got a pay raise without having to worry about the Hawks matching. I dunno I wouldn't want to leave the NBA to go play in a foreign country but that's just me

OKLAHOMA CITY -- The NBA has filed for trademark rights to six nicknames for the league's new Oklahoma City franchise: Barons, Bison, Energy, Marshalls, Thunder and Wind.
An attorney for the league made the filing Monday with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Marshal is usually spelled with one l. It's not clear why the league used a variant spelling. The filing is listed on the patent office's Web site. The NBA and the team have refused to discuss possible new names for the team formerly known as the Seattle SuperSonics ahead of an official announcement, which has not yet been scheduled. Copyright 2008 by The Associated Press WTF is up with those names. They suck. The one that sucks the least is Barons but still. Kinda lame. |

Yeah I liked the Kings back then, mostly because they almost beat the Lakers. Too bad Divac decided to slap the ball back to the one of the most clutch 3 point shooters in the history of the NBA playoffs

Even though I hated the Bulls at the time MJ's shot over Byron Russell in the '98 Finals is one of the best moments I've personally ever seen in the playoffs

ROFL Artest.
Yao was like, I hope he doesn't go after anyone in the stands again. Artest responds " I'm ghetto. I'm never gonna change my style" |

He had an interview earlier on ESPN saying he talked to Yao and everything is cool now. Wow the interview though, Ron Artest is seriously retarded, like not even joking. Has a mental handicap or something, probably something similar to the Clox guy that posts here.
