I watched Robbie Brookside in a tag match at some touring wrestling promotion, Superslam Wrestling or something like that. Fairly decent card, no one I really knew other than Brookside and his tag partner. The guys were in decent shape for the most part, too.
I normally would have avoided going to see the Indy shows here, but I had to take a guy from work (I work with people with Down's syndrome, autism, all sort of psyical and mental disabilities) he thought he'd see blasts from the past like Kendo Nagasaki, Big Daddy and Giant Haystacks, but I had to tell him they'd either be all dead or retired! Still- He had a great time, I might try and sort out some sort of backstage thing with WWE if thats even remotely possible... Oh- Found the link: http://www.bigtimewrestlinguk.com/ |

Robbie Brookside is probably my favourite British wrestler, so much that (unknown RSM fact) my wrestling name is Dave Brookside.
Never heard of this company though, but I've wrestled on some shows with some of their talents. Who was Brooksides tag team partner? |

what that's All Star, the highest drawing, most prolific company in the country, the only place to make anything resembling a living at times, with guys like Danielson, Sheamus, Finlay, Regal, Owen, Tatanka, Vito, Yoko, Nigel, Mason Ryan got his start there and a countless other names over for tours, they run most nights of the week during certain parts of the year all over the country, the company itself and Brian Dixon have been around for 40 odd years, they were on ITV in the dying days of the World of Sport era etc etc blah blah blah.

Oh, now that you mention it, of course I am familiar with All Star Wrestling, mostly through their shows at UK holiday resorts. Didn't really pay attention to the banners or heading on the website, I clicked the link, which said 'Big Time Wrestling' and just kinda assumed that was the name of the company.
My bad. |
