Probably due to the distance between Cali and Leicester being pretty harsh. I can play fine against East coasters, so I can't see you and Tony having problems.

You haven't a clue whats going on in general or are you talking about a certain part of the game?
BTW, I came across a small, sneaky SMB3 reference (if reference is the right word). I was messing about in Training with a few characters and eventually got round to Peach. Now, perform her Final Smash and the little peice of music plays. Nothing speacial right? Well, slow down the came to 1/4 and then do the Final Smash and you'll find the music slows down to and it's actually the Warp Zone music from SMB3. |

Another thing is Warios victory theme is a faster version of the music from the first Wario Land Shake trailer.

I mean it's so fast, I'm like 'what's going on?'. I win but no idea how haha, slowly getting the hang of it though, my gf plays on it more and has a better idea - I'm getting old.

I don't really enjoy playing against 3 other human players (online, that is). It's too hectic for me to know what I'm doing. So many times I've been playing against 3 other human players and I lose track of myself and end up looking at the wrong side of the screen.
Any less though and it's fine. If you really need help, watch the How To Play movie in the Data section. |

I know this is bumping a very old thread but, given that the sound track is a big deal with Smash Bros games, I thought I'd share this. On the SBB disc there are songs which where made but didn't make it into the game. Here they are:
There are 17 so for the sake of pages length, I've set them as spoilers. Mario SPOILER: show Zelda SPOILER: show Yoshi SPOILER: show Star Fox SPOILER: show Fire Emblem SPOILER: show Mother/Earthbound SPOILER: show Animal Crossing SPOILER: show NES/SNES SPOILER: show Metal Gear Solid SPOILER: show Sonic SPOILER: show |

I thought it just had the names of the tracks that were to be included, but they never actually made the songs.

I wish the New Age Retro Hippie drew near in this game. The song would work well. It's probably good that Eight Melodies didn't make it. Same with Smiles and Tears/Because I Love You. It's the eight melodies/ending theme to Earthbound. LOL at the Ice Hockey part of the NES sports medley though, amazing

It's a love/hate thing for me. Fucking hate how pretty much all my Melee favourites were nerfed in the name of balance and then all the Fox and Ness clones get ridiculously powerful smash ball attacks when they have mad projectiles and good travelling attacks. Balance my ass. And the god damn fucking tripping. I will have a stroke one day if I keep tripping just before I can take some one out.

A bit off-topic:
I was thinking about this yesterday and I am pretty surprised Capcom didn't do its own spin-off or rip-off I guess with just mega man characters seems like it would be pretty easy to do. |

Onimusha spin-off was a Smash clone.

They actually did make a Mega Man arcade game where you could play as the bosses or was a fighting game.
Although the closest Smash clone from Capcom is Power Stone even though it was just a regular game and not a mascot one. Their VS series could easily be made into a Smash clone if they wanted since it covers all their mascots. |

You could only play as Megaman, Bass, Protoman and Duo in those games. They weren't even really fighting games, as they were exactly like the boss battles in the actual megaman games. More of a 2d shooter if anything.
A megaman fighting game would be tits though. Hundreds of characters with all kinds of gimmicks. |

Thought the bosses were playable but guess not. Might be thinking of Mega Man Soccer or some other spinoff that allowed them to be playable.

I can't think of another company I would be interested in doing this besides Capcom. Sega? No.
Their Power stone game did not look to appealing to me however. |

I think they also do the Naruto fighting games as well.
Should be interesting if the next Smash changes from a 2D to a 3D one or if it even borrows stuff from other Namco fighters. |

Highly doubt Naruto or DBZ characters will be in there. I suspect there may be 1 0r 2 of Namco's original characters, but no other licensed properties.
Though given Namco's relationship with Capcom, I wouldn't be surprised to see Megaman in the game. |

Namco's main experience with making fighters is with the 3D type considering Tekken, Soul Calibur, and DBZ either are 3D fighters or mixes it up between planes.
Smash has its unique 2D style but it would be interesting if the next Smash takes or borrows any type of influence from Namco's experience. Nintendo's past experience with letting other companies work on their games usually ends up having some influence by that company on the game produced. |

It would as interesting as it would be abysmal, Nintendo usually knows better than that. I'm sure Namco's staff are more excited at the chance to make a Smash game as it is, rather than make something that would not be Smash at all.
What this will mean mostly is a game with surprising roster additions, great netcode, incredible music, and fantastic art and animation. Gameplay will good ol Smash, though, with some adjustments I wonder. |

They always find way to make terrible characters work. I didn't think the Ice Climbers would work, or Captain Olimar. I think they could make Pac-Man work.

True, I guess he has had more games than him just eating the dots as well although I never played any of them. I think his classic look is a lot better than his plat-former look though.

Roster size for the next Smash Bros probably won't be topping what Brawl did or be anywhere near 50 characters like a certain amount of people are requesting. Might even lean towards catering to tourney players with the recent talks of balancing and other aspects being the potential main focus for development.
