yeah the ending of that episode was beautiful. they have not lost their ability to strike at your heartstrings at all.
i had a feeling that was where the episode was heading (ie hermes being inspector 5) but the reasoning for his lax quality control came out of nowhere and honestly knocked me a bit because it was so beautifully done. |

hands down. i die a little more inside every time i watch the end of this episode. not in a bad way, in a "oh my god i can't believe how sad this cartoon is making me" kind of way. then i go and hug everyone who'll let me hug them for like twenty minutes after the fact.

Not my fault you're too stupid to grasp it.

I haven't seen any of the new Futuramas for fear that that would suck. From what I'm reading her, there are par at best.

I guess those episodes are excellent if you're looking for a linear, uninspired plot with obvious parallels so you never have to actually think about tricky things like "satire," since it's almost all about one topic and beats you over the head with it. But BDC, as a fan of the original series, I'm pretty sure you'll be told this show isn't for you. |

If they are doing that five episodes in, then go back to being canceled. They all must be greatness or otherwise they will just tarnish the name.

Last night's episode was pretty hilarious though, especially when Bender got all pissed off with Prof. Farnsworth and Fry because they wanted to get out and explore the point in time with all the girls and whatnot but he wasn't allowed to make everyone get out at the point in time just before that so he sends the time machine in motion again. |

I liked last nights episode. The Part with Leelas card and her message were kind of touching. When did they actually get together?
I think the show does a great job of mixing in some emotions. The Episode about Fry;s brother was good. As was Jurrassic Bark (im with you guys, I almost cried) |

Last Week's ep was pretty touching towards the end. This one was pretty good not quite the heartstring puller, but it did have its moments. I do appreciate the mix generally put in to this show: Zany and touching, clever and stupid, corny and classy (though usually less classy). |

My former claim of the season getting better as it goes on remains true. This was my favorite of the season, though it was pretty predictable. I figured we'd either get the solution we got or time would begin to go backwards.

'the late philip j fry' is officially in my favourite episodes of all time list. there was something about it. i'm always a sucker for their time travel episodes ('roswell's that ends well', 'time keeps on slippin''), and this one kind of had both the humour of 'roswell' and the sweetness of 'slippin'' so i was stoked.
the whole sequence with the end of the universe was incredibly done. beautiful stuff. the stalagmites reminded me of fry's letter in the stars. farnsworth killing hitler and then drive-bying eleanor roosevelt was fantastic. bender's enthusiasm for the terminator future made me giggle immensely, as did his incredible disdain for the scantily clad woman utopia future. good stuff. on top of the robosexuals episode previous to this, it looks like they've hit their stride again. |

I liked the episode and I get why they didn't go this route, but I'm fairly sure Bender still has the time code from Bender's Big Score, they just never mentioned it after the movie.

The scammers wiped it, when he came back from putting it on Fry at the end it didn't, and they never mentioned if they did.

Did he? I thought Bender put the only copy of the code on Fry's ass in the past which was then lasered off and Bender had the code erased from his memory.
