Official Ultimate Fighter 3 thread (Spoilers, duh)
This season has been going pretty damned strong so far. I'm still not sure how Ortiz and Shamrock have been able to stand each other so far. Right now the teams are tied. Alot of people couldn't believe Noah beating Jesse but I knew it was gonna happen the whole time (As I won $20 off of the fight with my friends). I could tell by looking at the two who was going to win. Jesse is really spontaneous and doesn't think things through alot. Noah seemed more like the guy that would basically stay nuetral until a perfect opportunity was given to him. That's exactly what happened. Noah was getting pounded for awhile but kept calm, kept his composure, waited for his spot, found it, and then submitted Jesse rather easily. Awesome fight. I love finishes like that.
Anyways... what have you al thought of the season so far? Narcissus spite tour of 2020. I have kids. |

Ortiz loves the deaf kid. His work ethic n such. We are getting to know the fighters a lot more this season without the competitions.

Awesome so far. Apparently only gonna get better. Especially with the Brits holding it up. And at least one of them is gonna be there for a long time.

They couldn't have asked for a better result than that Noah/Jesse fight. Jesse was just a huge prick who got his mouth shut. Noah just listened to his coach and did what he was supposed to do.

Good season so far, can't really tell how it matches up to the other two quite yet though. I liked Season 1 better than I did Season 2 for sure though. This season does look promising however. BTW, I hope Noah loses his next fight.

I'm quite disapointed they don't do challenges now.

I like it and I hate it. The challenges were entertaining but I kinda like this whole "Winner chooses next fight" deal. There is finally an added bonus to the team for members winning.

Noah isn't really a nerd. He just wears glasses, and isn't a prick.
I seriously want someone to stomp Tait Fletcher's face in. He's such a fucking homo. |

I like the fact that they spend the whole episode building up to the fight now, instead of like 10 minutes.

Tito chose the next fight. He chose the Brit, Ross from Shamrock's team and from his team he chose Kendall. Big height advantage for Kendall. Interesting how they've got so much more personal info this season. I love it. Fight is 40 minutes from now Can't wait.

This Ross guy needs to cut weight for the next day and he's ignoring his trammates. LOL, I hope this guys isn't going to miss the weigh in like that jackass last year.

Good god, that wasn't even close. Kendall destroyed him. Ross made way too many mistakes for it even to be a fair fight. He didn't listen to his corner at all (except for a weak kidney punch), and gave up his back twice. In short, Ross got fucked up.

Kendall is a damned good fighter. Laid waste to Ross. It's a shame Ross is done though, he was a good personality.
Man, that team dagger shit has to stop lol. SERIOUSLY I like Rory Singer, probably because he trains with Forrest Griffin, and you can tell he doesn't take himself too seriously. Ed Herman is hilarious. I like how Tito was all "fuck I can't believe I didn't choose this kid, meh...now I'm gonna fuck with him every week". This season= wayyyyyy better than last. Every fight has had a finish. |

I hope Gracie beats Hughes. I don't consider Gracie to have been cheap in the early days of UFC, he was an innovator. He changed the way MMA was fought, in fact the way it's still fought. I mean shit, back in the day he was beating guys with arm locks and the announcers didn't even understand why his opponents were tapping out. It wasn't until replays that they'd see him cinching in the arm bar or whatever. Hughes is a big mouth to boot.
Tito is coming off as a way better person than I thought he was. It's not just the fighters that you learn about, but these two coaches. I hope Shamrock's reason for no showing on the next episode is legit and not just him not showing up. |

not to mention that in the early days, these guys would fight 3-4 times in an event to be crowned UFC champ.

As for the show, I think Ross was too over confident in his KO power which is something else to be fair. Probably the strongest and fastest hands on the show. His submission skills are piss poor. 4 out of 5 last losses before the show by submission. I put a hell of a lot of the blame on Ken Shamrock. The guy is a fucking disgrace. How can he give his fighters so much rest, tell Ross his ground game sucks and then know he is gonna be fighting and not teach him a single submission attempt or escape? His team mates tried to do more to help Ross than he did. His attitude on the show has been absolutely piss poor. The fact he doesn't show up for training, nor send any of his staff either is mind blowing. And he has the nerve to question Tito Ortiz's attitude? Ortiz never pulled off anything this unprofessional. Anything he never did was to hype his fights. I was dying for Ortiz to smash his face in come July but now it's Griffin vs. Shamrock on that show so that will probably be the last we ever see of Slamcock. Not a day too soon either. Can wait for next weeks show. Bisping should bash that deaf cunt into the floor. |
