I had 20-18 for Tait. Josh seemed very ineffective for a large portion of the fight, Tait kept looking for submissions and takedowns. Josh landed some good shots and had some nice escapes, but I didn't see anything that convinced me to score a round for him.

Tait won the fight hands down. i lost faith in the show after that decision. if it did go a third round, Josh would have been knocked out or submitted - or their would have been a stoppage.
now it is hard for me to get out of the habbit of scoring a fight like this: "who would have eventually won the fight?" but clearly, Tait would have won in a third round, and i think it is clear to most people that at least the second round was dominated by Tait, and if Josh won the first round, it was by a thin margin. Josh was not impressive to me at all. i actually felt as though I could have taken him. he looked like what is called a fish. once the fight went to the ground he just sorta flops around. at best, he looked like a Tough Man Contest fighter - not an MMA fighter. |

First round was 10-9 Josh, Tait wasn't solid on the ground yet. Second round was 19-0 Tait but I could see an argument for 10-8.
I wanted a third round dammit |

Naw, Tait pushed the action. Lots of knee shots, lots of submission attempts, even when he was dog tired he was still trying to finish the fight. Tait won in my eyes, no comparison. Bad call on judges part.

Josh was tired and wasn't landing the shots he was in the first. When it went to the ground Tait was constantly going for submissions, and was a couple seconds away from making Josh tap to a couple of them. Josh was just getting pushed around the second round.
Again, that would be my argument, I wanted Josh to win |

I dont think the last fight had a clear winner and it should of gone to a 3rd round. They gave the fight to Josh because of the knockdown in the first, but I wouldnt of even considered it a knockdown. It looked like Tait slipped more then anything else.
But this is what happens when fighters dont finish, they leave it in the hands of the judges, and no one wants it to go that way. Both fighters need more training, especially more cardio work. Tait's submission work wasnt solid, but it was terrible either. I just saw it as another fight with 2 average fighters. You put 2 people in the ring that arent well rounded and you get a lame fight. What I thought was the funniest thing was that they hyped the fight as "one of the best of the season" and it was not even close. Lol at Killerwolf's comment of "I think I could have taken the guy". Some people must not understand that fighting professionally isnt something that just comes to you. You train at it, and while it didnt look like Josh had a lot of training coming into the fight, their is no way that you or anyone else on this website would be able to hang 1 round with anyone that has been on the ultimate fighter. Unless of course you are infact already a fighter in MMA, but I dont think anyone on here is. Killer, you would of taken a couple of jabs from the guy and not of wanted it to go on anymore. |

He'd probably pull a Whitehead and walk away from the fight all around the ring.

TUF 4 news on mmafighting.com
The Boston Herald is reporting that the fourth season of The Ultimate Fighter will premiere Thursday, August 17 on Spike TV. Season 4 will follow 16 UFC veterans as they battle for a six-figure contract and a title shot for one middleweight and one welterweight. Danny, you are not an ultimate fighter...you got your ass handed to you by a guy seemingly going at half speed

I predict now Kendall pisses this 185lbs division.
Ed did absolutely nothing to convince me he is anything special. His clinch looked weak, his ground and pound looked weak. Danny looked like he was lost in the headlights. Anyone else would have probably reversed Ed and pounded him. Ed wants to start worrying about Kendall and Kalib instead of trying to stir shit with Tito Ortiz. Ortiz would absolutely muller him and probably without breaking a sweat. |

I don't know. It seemed to me maybe since he knew this wasn't going to be a very hard fight that he was trying to limit his chances of injury. Every blow was slow but it was hard and calculated. He was in control the entire fight (spare maybe the first punch). He knew everything Danny was going to do and had a counter for it. I'll bet he goes twice the speed and does triple the damage come semi-finals.

Nah. If a guy was that good he woulda DESTROYED Danny. He wouldn't look avarage. Diego's ground n pound looks alot better than Ed's from what i saw.

Ed hit him with at least 50 shots to the face as well as everything else and Danny barely looked marked.

That fight was disgusting. Both fighters were unbelievably sloppy. A more skilled fighter would've finished either of them off with no problem. Matt had Mike's back for several minutes during the fight and he stayed in pure wrestling mode. Mike has to be one of the worst fighters I've seen on the show to this point. No doubt in my mind that Bisping has the competition all wrapped up now.

Mike fights like the character of "Roy" played by Micheal McDonald on MAD TV.

I seriously can't believe that Matt does not know any submission. There were like 10 oppotunities at least to put a rear naked choke on Mark and he blew it. How this fight went past 2 minutes is beyond me. He had a good jab but his defense is the shits and anyone else will punish him. Even with his wrestling, I'm not convinced he can beat anyone on the ground even in full mount ground and pound. He got in stupid submissions postions where others would have tapped him.

So the middleweight semi's look good, Kendall against either Kaleb or Ed...and then you have Rory, who looks like the weakest of the 4.

With his wrestling background, the first submission he should have learned was a rear naked choke. I see your point but he is trying to get into the big time now so there's no excuses.

Matt Hamil can't continue with the competition, nor can Mike Nickels. Shamrock hustled Tito in a game of pool. A bunch of the old fighters came back for the night, and Dana asked both Tait and Kristian (who now has pink hair ) if they wanted to replace Matt. Both declined, so they brought back Ross Pointon, who's gonna fight at 205 pounds.
They made the semi finals: Jesse Forbes Vs Josh Haynes Mike Bisping Vs Ross Pointon Kalib Starnes Vs Kendall Grove Rory Singer Vs Ed Herman Kalib and Kendall had their fight, it was pretty even, but Kalib quit the fight in the third round because he said his rib was broken. Kendall advances. Next week is Rory Vs Ed. |

Are they gonna have 2 matches or what? Kaleb looked pretty good before he got gassed, I think he will be someone to look out for.
