Loud Records put out a compilation album that used all their "rock" bands, helping their "rap" acts cover rap songs called "Loud Rocks".. It had Wu Tang, S.O.A.D., Xibit, Mobb Deep, Everlast, MOP, Ozzy, The Liks, etc etc etc..
Awesome album.. http://www.amazon.com/Loud-Rocks-Var.../dp/B00004XSTZ |

Regrettable.
Nah. Most Nu-Metal is shit, but it's only because it's disposable pop, like 80% of music is in the first place. It sells because it resonates with the public for some brief moment in time. It's no more regrettable than any other genre, except in the sense that it was made up as a catch-all (which is why Kripsy's calling Anthrax Nu-Metal, because most of the definitions were so pointless they applied to any group who ever blended rock and rap...). |

I liked one or two songs that would be classed as nu-metal, but still love Linkin Park, who have obviously adapted better than others of that time.
Also, I 80's. Insane to some, Iconic to me. There's lots of shit yes, but even some of that shit is better than the wank we have today. Pop songs of the 80's worked. Now it's just "you have to be this age", "you have to sing what we sing" etc. S.A.W brought the 80's pop scene the a close over here and started that whole. "ANYONE" can sing shit on a mass scale |

Linkin Park have evolved a lot. Minute 2 Midnight sounded way different than their previous releases. They did a decent performance of the "Wish" song. (well not as good as the original but above average)
