The simple assault charges filed against WWE Superstar Heath Slater (aka Heath Miller) have officially been dropped.

MyFoxAtlanta.com reports that the charges against Slater were dropped because the statute of limitations had expired.

The charges alleged against Slater stemmed from a female security guard who claimed that she was assaulted by the WWE performer at the WrestleMania after-party in 2011.

Slater has not appeared on WWE television since an arrest warrant was issued for him back in December of 2014. He issued a statement shortly after the news of the arrest warrant surfaced, claiming that the charges and civil suit brought against him were "completely frivolous."

The Royal Rumble should come down to Daniel Bryan and Heath Slater. Bryan has been in for a while, and Slater has managed to stay fresh by hanging on the outside and feigning a leg injury or something. Slater doesn't win the match, but he tosses Bryan a few times, giving the fans good reason to gasp.

I want to see Heath Slater & Justin Gabriel reform their record-tying three-time WWE Tag Team Championship team. The Jumping Rock Angels reunion leaves Titus O'Neil heartbroken, leading to him making a call to a long-lost friend to get some revenge.

To celebrate, Heath Slater should be the man to end Rusev's undefeated streak. Slater comes out on RAW and says "I believe in justice! The American legal system has set me free!" Lana tells Slater that in Russia he would have been burnt at the stake for having red hair. His goofy voice is too American and he will fall to the mighty hand of Rusev.

Slater then says "Well, I don't know about Russia, but I know we kicked your ass in Vietnam! I'm feeling good, so let's put that US Title on the line, BABBBAAAYYY!"

Rusev gets into the ring, and Slater is just on fire. Quick jabs, a few roll-ups here and there. Lana tells Rusev to get his head into it, and he looks at Lana but then gets nailed with Slater's leg lariat for a close two. Rusev makes a comeback and starts pounding on Slater in the corner. He ends up going for a splash in the corner, but Slater ducks and Rusev knocks himself out on the ring post. Rusev doesn't move at all. Lana is screaming at him to get up, but it is Slater that stirs. He only gets two however.

The drama is palpable at this point in time. Slater goes up to the top rope, and the commentators point out Rusev must have knocked him loopy, since Slater never goes up top. Rusev catches him up there, and goes for a superplex, but Slater pokes the eyes of Rusev, causing him to fall to the mat. Slater turns around and hits a moonsault off the top rope. Rusev still kicks out at two. Slater can't believe it, but then manages to hit Rusev with his old Paydirty-type finisher. Cole calls it "The Flat Note." Rusev again kicks out at two, but Lana is getting frustrated. Slater goes for the Smash Hit, but Rusev powers out and starts clubbing Slater. A superkick from Rusev only gets a two count. Rusev can't believe it. He goes to put Slater in The Accolade, but Slater slips out and hits his reverse RKO-style neckbreaker for a very close two. Lana can't take it anymore. She gets on the apron. Slater asks her what she's doing. She tells at him, calling him a stupid American. Rusev goes to charge Slater from behind, but Slater moves, and Rusev almost hits Lana. Rusev then turns into the Sweet Chin Music from Slater! WOOOO! BETTER THAN SHAWN MICHAELS, BABBAAAY! Rusev kicks out of two, however!

"This is awesome!" chants ring throughout the crowd. Slater looks at the audience and seems to be getting pumped up. JBL says Slater is getting distracted. Slater hits the ropes and then takes out Rusev with a Hiroshi Tanahashi Sling Blade! Slater then pulls Rusev into a Smash Hit DDT! WOOOOOO!!!! 1-2-3!!!!

HEATH WALLACE SLATER IS YOUR NEW UNITED STATES HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION OF THE UNITED STATES, BABBBBAAAAAYYYYY!!!!!!!!!

The next six months has Heath Slater coming out to have his celebration rock concert, but just as he is about to get started, a heel interrupts Slater and challenges him to a match.

"Well, I was about to have a rock concert, but I am a fighting US Champion. Sure! Let's go, mane."

Slater always wins, then promises us a rock concert next time. But another heel always interrupts and Slater has to beat them. Then, when he finally loses the US Title, Michael Cole screams about what a tragedy it is that Slater never got to have his rock concert.
