Got motherfuckin' DOWN tonight! I have wanted to see these guys for 10 years or more but never had the chance until now. They are being supported by Warbeast and Orange Goblin. 3+ hours of metally goodness; been ages since I last went to a metal gig, mostly been classical or jazz concerts as of late.

Phil Anselmo seems to suffer from a severe case of verbal diarrhea, but it was worth suffering to hear Stone the Crow live. They seemed to mostly play material from their first album, which was fuckin' awesome.
Orange Goblin were pretty tasty live as well. |

I went to see Punch Brothers last night; they fuckin' rocked! If you think acoustic music can't rock you should check these guys out live. Chris Thile plays the mandolin like he was a rock guitarist.

I almost repped you for this, but you suck, so I refrained from doing so.
Anyways, I went to see Converge last night; pretty tasty to see that kind of stuff played live. The crowd was oddly restrained. I expected the place to be one giant most pit of death, but no, people were just happy to let the aggression wash over them in waves. |

Is that a concert or an eye chart. People who have worse than 20/25 vision would have no way of knowing that Vision of Disorder was going to be there.

Saw Christopher Owens @ Bowery Ballroom, was good, had some old guy in the band playing a saxophone/harmonica/flute, was really "rocking out"

I liked it. Sux that he will never play any "Girls" songs, huge waste. He did a bunch of covers for the encore, was good. "Bob Dylan" and Simon and Garfunkel and stuff. Really liked the old guy playing all the instruments. Also had 2 sexy brauds doing backup vocals, looking sexy as hell.......

Looking back on 2012, I saw (from most recent):
- Black Label Society (October 2012) - Iron Maiden with Alice Cooper opening (Summer 2012) - Scorpions on their "Final Sting" tour (Summer 2012) Honourable mention from late 2011 cuz they are my favorite band: - Judas Priest on their final "Epitaph" Tour (end of November 2011) with Black Label Society opening. |
