Ryback is very entertaining. Not sure why he isn't in a better position.

Hated this PPV. Hated the writing. HATED the commentary (cept Owens). Hated most of the match finishes. Best match goes to Kalisto and Ryback which I had zero fucks to give before it started...that throw from the top was fucking awesome. Zayne/Owens was awesome as well...the rest just screamed of too many hands in the writing cookie jar.

Ever since Punk left Ryback has made it a point to troll Chicago and I love it.

Ok, so, no Gallows, Anderson, or Balor last night, right?
This all gonna go down tonight on Raw? I know the ratings haven't been all that good. But tonight feels like this is all gonna come together somewhat. |

I think I did pretty good in tipsters...even called Miz/Cesaro roll up. Only missed on Corbin and Zayn/Owens

Pretty solid show. Not incredible but a solid outing. A couple of matches under-delivered but the first hour or so--barring Enzo's scary as fuck near death--was a pretty incredible continuous story. I really wish they'd have more segments run into each other like that.
Main event was fun if a bit of a cluster. Looking forward to the rematch. Lots of amazing near falls. I bit on a couple and actually thought they might pull the trigger on a title change. Match of the night goes to Ryback stealing Punk's entrance. |

Doubtful for tonight since it's AJ V Reigns at Extreme Rules. Maybe Balor gets called up and they tease something, but I really doubt it'll all play out tonight.

Great photo made even better by the fact that WWE edited out "it bores" off the bottom of the yellow sign on the right. |

As much as I hate WWE for it's monumental botch of Ryback's original face run, he could be a great upper-midcard dickhead heel.
It's just... he should have been so much more. |

I think this was a pretty good card. I agree with it being BS that RR kicks out of multiple finishes. What bugged me the most about this ppv is the commentary. All 3 suck ass. Cole is fake, JBL is a dummy and Byron is useless. JBL pretty much no sold everything byron said and I thought that was funny. I just feel the commentating misses too much and itself is too scripted. They dont help in building talent other than jizzing all over the golden boys.

I've said this plenty but Cole and JBL were gold together on SmackDown in 2006-07. It was clear that Vince didn't oversee everything coming out of the announcers mouths back then. They'd argue a lot but never to the point where it would be a distraction to the show.
Cole at this point just doesn't sound truly excited about anything. And I can't really blame him. He is micromanaged to shit. |

The commentators could do so much better if Vince let them actually call matches. There's no excuse to not be using Mauro Ranallo for PPV now. Mauro and JBL would be fine out there. Give PPVs a different aesthetic feel. Cole and Byron can call the pre-show stuff and Cole can take over Vince's role when it comes to commentary.

Mauro gets away with calling matches because he's on Smackdown.

I love Mauro, but it'll be different with Vince in his ear. See: Joey Styles.

Wade Keller and Steve Austin had the same feelings about Reigns and Styles that I did, which was some nice validation.
Interesting to see so many different opinions. Keller himself gave it 4 stars, Austin gave it 5, and the guy covering the ppv gave it 2 and 3 quarters on pwtorch. Just goes to show you how stupid star ratings for matches are. I don't get not liking the match to be honest. It'd be one thing if it was sloppy or didn't have any heat, but A) Roman didn't superman sell, he narrowly escaped with his foot on the rope and b) For one second I thought Styles had him with the 450 splash. I will defend this match to the death, based on Styles' performance on its own. I found it incredibly exciting. I'm going to go all CyNick here and say some of y'all are far too jaded and could do with a bit of a break from watching if you couldn't enjoy that match based on the bell to bell alone. |

It was enjoyable, but I feel like Styles made it so.
I was with you on the 450 spot. There were a couple spots I thought things might change hands, but alas it was the same in the end. I have stopped watching weekly and stream a PPV match if it sounds interesting. It has made things a bit better, but still not wanting to watch weekly. |

I feel like they are putting together the shows with the idea that people aren't watching the whole thing. The idea that people will watch a 3 hour tv show in its entirety week to week is utterly insane. It's different if it's a sporting event, but they go to great lengths to tell you that it's not a sport, but in fact entertainment.
