I guess you never played fantasy football in 2009. Or 2010. Or 2011.

Miles Austin won me a title in 2011 I believe. I just have a feeling that he'll be healthy and productive this year. I think the Cowboys in general will do well this year and surprise a lot people.

I'ma just use this thread as a generic "cool story bro" fantasy-related thread to discuss all fun things here.
In a 10 teamer I did over the weekend, I was Skyping it in with some IRL bros. Had to leave early for family obligations so I stayed long enough to draft my starting team and had them draft my bench with "best player available". Anyway lineups were finally entered last night. As expected, had some scrubs so I hounded the FA pool for replacements. Somehow, in a 10 team league, Le'Veon Bell went undrafted. o_O crossrine |

Got burned on 2 waiver claims this morning in a league with my buddy. Everybody put in for Julius Thomas. But I thought I had the inside track on Julian Edelman and I would land him. Didn't.
Wide Receiver situation is dicey for me at the moment. Gonna be bad if James Jones doesn't see the ball for the 2nd game in a row. |

I have #1 waiver in one league but not sure if anyone in week 1 really set themselves up to be worth burning it on. Julius Thomas yeah sure but I see him being a lot more "feast or famine" (hate cliches) than a solid weekly contributor. Eric Decker isn't going to put up too many stat lines like his week 1 line. Hate chasing points.
Edelman is intriguing, especially if Amendola is out and with Vereen's injury. I could see him being solid for a few weeks until Amendola and Gronk are healthy, then he'll probably be lost in the shuffle. Dunno. Again, not sure if I wanna burn a #1 waiver on him. Nobody else really wowed me week 1. |

Yes it is PPR. Love Bowe, but Alex Smith is a h8r and barely throws to him. Hartline can be a TD machine, but since Wallace whined I may get burned there.

Since the Giants' defense seems to be worse than the Saints' right now, Bowe may get open enough (ie. Have no one within 5 yards) for Alex Smith to be comfortable throwing to him.

I might have sneaked a win again this week thanks to a monster performance by Darren Sproles.
Although I might get mugged on stat correction Was down by about 30 last night now leading by 0.4 Both of my wins have been by the narrowest margin of the week |

Don't worry I am sure that in the playoffs he'll go missing. Although you did still have one Miami guy going last week and a huge lead.
My team sucks this year. I could easily be 0-4 rather than 3-1 |

I seriously checked the score on my phone at halftime and saw I was losing and forgot one of my defensive guys was Phillip Wheeler. So I didn't check again for awhile and when I checked again I was winning. So I was like "I MAY JUST PULL THIS ONE OUT" then this morning I had lost by .97 points or something. Then I punched a hole in my wall and started doing Cape Fear style chin ups.

Trying to decide between Jay Cutler and Russel Wilson in one of my leagues. One downside to not making sure to pick up an elite QB is you can't just "set it and forget it". Always faced with these decisions.
Cutler passes more and he's playing New Orleans so it should be a shoot-out. Wilson can pick up some rushing yards playing in the dome against Indy. Plus he seems like the "safer" pick. I DUNNO. |

I hate players who are either feast or famine. Give me a squad of guys who will turn in 15 points each week than guys who will give you a 25 one week and a 3 the next.
although now we're starting to be hit by bye week hell. |

That's a tough one. I hate Matt Ryan bc he looks like he's 17 but he "puts up the numbers" and I think the Jets are sneaky-good (at least, not a 3-13 team like people are expecting). PRiv is a total #heel and is lighting it up sans Norv Turner glass ceiling-ing him and Raiders secondary is awful waffle. I'd coin-flip it. IDK. What is this ESPN. START WHOEVER YOU WANT. PRiv.

I'd go with Ryan. He's in the dome and the Raiders D is capable of "showing up" to atleast put on a decent performance. Especially at home. In fact the only real shitty game they played so far was against Denver but... it's Denver.
