Maybe an out there idea but I wouldn't mind in the next draft if they just have EVERYBODY on NXT get drafted.
It doesn't mean everybody gets called immediately, just that everybody on NXT has a "home show" they could possibly show up on at any point. Conversely, shows could send people down to NXT for extended stints or for one-off programs as needed. Prevents the problem of NXT potentially getting depleted and also gives a really easy kayfabe avenue for a guy like Apollo Crews to head back down to NXT for a bit during a time when there's nothing for him to do on the main roster. |

Send that Drifter fella up to job out to Miz, have The Miz shit in his guitar and bash it over his head at SummerSlam while the announcers try to attempt the explanation of the shit-covered attack

SDL shouldn't be the abbreviations for Smackdown. Sounds like it's a cholesterol test.

One would assume Roode and/or Nak will be called up post Mania. The safe money would be Nak gets the nod first because he's been in NXT longer, and really, what is left for him to do there? Roode could at least stay around and put sometime over at the SummerSlam TakeOver and then get called up.
I would have to think Tye Dillinger will get a callup. And it's probably time for Asuka to make a major impact. Her impact might even be felt at Mania, by we'll see. Also probably time for The Revival to go to the next level. Although I worry their style won't translate to the bigger audience. |

I worry about The Revival too. They're excellent but they're most effective working long-form matches chock full of false finishes and dastardly double teams/brilliant heel work.
I'm just not sure regular TV will allow them the proper time to tell their story in the way that best highlights their talents. |

Right now I think fans are conditioned to expecting call ups at (or right after) one of the big 4 PPVs. It hasn't been too often in the past few years they've debuted people at other times, the one exception being last year's draft mid summer which was a unique circumstance. Would just be cool to "expect the unexpected" all year I guess. The bigger bonus to me though would be the increased fluidity between the main shows and NXT. It'd be nice to be able to easily send people back down to NXT for a program or two rather than it just being once you called up you're there to stay even if creative has nothing for you. |
