Cena again. Veery tough match up that Y2J will win. Cena though was the true face of the company while Y2J usually played second fiddle. Y2J's reinvention with Owens will get him the overall win here.

I'm not going to need any time here at all.
Jericho has to be one of the best of all time. The way he has lasted throughout the eras, whilst constantly reinventing and tweaking his character. Jericho right now is perhaps one of the best he has ever been. It takes a lot to be an "established wrestler" and not just "coast on your laurels", but to get over based on what you are doing NOW and not just because of your past. |

Jericho's cruiserweight heel run in WCW is my favorite wrestling persona of all time. I'm a huge Cena fan, but I can't vote against the man of 1,004 holds. Or the Conspiracy Victim. Or the original "list".

Jericho as a better wrestler and for his ability to refresh his character, easily placed into the role of a heel or face(only so many can actually pull off both)
While he has never been the face of any company(His debut in WWE was huge and he probably could've been a major ME player had they really rode the wave he had coming in) He has been a constant bright spot and he has an awesome body of work that he continues to build on. |

Serious Jericho and his second feud with Shawn Michaels was also pretty legendary.

Jericho.
While Cena's biggest advantage is him being a mega star for status, Jericho is the better overall package. Both have long careers but Jericho has done a way better job of reinventing or staying fresh when needed unlike the long stretches of time where Cena was very stale and/or unwatchable. Jericho's debut is still the best, if not one of the best, ever in WWE history. Also invented Canada but was willing to let other take credit for it. |

Really difficult match up... On the one hand John Cena has carried the company and is one of the all time greats. On the other hand Jericho IMO has always had the bigger potential and just never reached it due to his size. If American wrestling didn't have the fascination with "big" men, especially at the time he came in, I think Jericho could have reached very similar heights to John. So essentially I think this comes down to potential vs achievement. Gonna go with my heart and say that potential wins out. Jericho gets the vote.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!
Cena belongs in the Hall of Fame dammit! He should just go in anyway. But fuck, nobody can get my vote over Chris Jericho. Been a Jericholic since forever and will be forever! I mean, Jericho's run this time around (amazing that's it's been almost a full year... no part-timer bullshit this time around, he's a full-fledged wrestler again), has been one of his best years. His matches are great, promos are spot on, he's the "old guy" on the roster, yet he still blends in perfectly with the new era. Definitely the GOAT. I didn't think there was anyone I would put over Cena in this, but then, I'm surprised Jericho isn't already in the Hall of Fame. |

Ah ok just seen that the previous Hall of Fame is marked as such, so Jericho was in it, and he will be again!

The biggest thing for me is who has had the largest legacy. That isnt necessarily Cena just because the spot light was on him.
Im still undecided. Who will directly influence the work style of the next generation? Who will have the largest impact on the generations there after? Cena has drawn more. Jerichos work is light years ahead of his. So legacy is the real tie breaker for me... ...it will take a bit. |

Damn... I expected Jericho to win, but not by this big of a margin. Almost feel bad for casting my vote for Jericho now just because it's been such a squash.

Still lol to myself whenever I think of that heel cruiserweight Jericho ABT mentioned calling Goldberg "Greenberg". Maybe he was more TV champ around that time, but whatever.

Jericho has never been "the guy" like Cena has, but he has been over for 20+ years (with a few Fozzy breaks in between to keep him fresh)
When its all said and done, Cena could easily surpass him in my eyes, but Jericho gets the nod for me atm.... |

Went with Jericho. The man is like a fine wine. It's arguable he could have been bigger than he has ended up being, but his station in the Attitude era is bigger than anything today. He's an all-rounder and continues to be of extreme value.

As good as Jericho is and as long as he has been around he still hasn't reached the level Cena has been on for the last ten years.

Can't even imagine who Cena would have went up against if he made it to the HoF round. 2 of the top 5 ever are in this match up.

Jericho has done it across generations anf never had the machine behind him to get to the top. I feel like his accomplishments were on talent alone.
Cena is just as good in the ring now imo, and is really talented, and obviously is great with the media and as a spokesperson, but I feel that falls outside the "wrestler" definition. I think his character never really evolved, probably a little, naturally, but he was stale for a number of years during his run. Jericho has been able to reinvent himself numerous times and come back and get over with whole new audiences based on new things each time. Couple that with the fact that he has inevitably influenced the business every bit as much as Cena (his heel suit run, catchphrases and even his stature as a smaller guy) and Jericho wins it for me. |

Well guys, Gertner was our closest tie to Jericho since Tazz Dan left us so I guess this sudden and out of nowhere heel turn on Jericho means Y2J is never going to join TPWW now.
