I chose When Worlds Collide, simply because it not only seemed the most apt for a game which was the progenitor of the brand vs. brand naming convention for the series but also because those words appear on the hype on the back of the box art to help play up the brand vs. brand concept.

And simply because I love it, as an added bonus, the introductory cutscene from the game:
I love how they touched on every game leading up to SvR, and then of course you’ve got J.R. screaming “Oh my God! It’s SmackDown! vs. RAW! Sports-Entertainment will NEVER be the same!” So much awesomeness it ought to be illegal. |

Thanks. I've actually been meaning to get around to it for a while but from mobile I don't even know if I can embed YT vids, which is why I now rely more on DailyMotion.
Other problem is it's kind of a pain in the ass to get out to the library via bus when I'm broke 99.73% of the time or I would've done this probably 6m-1y ago back when I first had the idea. Need some more people to vote by next Tues. though...don't really have a tie-breaker contingency plan. So thanks to those who have voted; you'll be receiving your green dots momentarily, and don't forget to encourage posters who spend a decent amount of time here in the Wrestling Forum to vote as well. |

Could just do a tiebreaker round for each game if necessary.

I voted for "Can't Stop (22nd Century Lifestyle)" by pre)Thing. Mostly because it really stuck out to me when I first heard it. I sounded quite different to the rest of the soundtrack, and it worked well as the music for the game's credits.
It sucks that the lead singer died of a heart attack before the bands first album was released though. The song being included in the soundtrack for SvR, DoR and WM21 were part of their promotional campaign by their record label. Who knows where they would be now if he hadn't died. |

Also, I completely forgot about the existence of "Bonecracker” by Shocore. I really liked that one back when I was fifteen. It was great to hear it again.
Though thinking back to when I used to play the game for hours, really makes me feel old, along with me still being able to remember the day I got it and some great matches I had on it. Fifteen then, twenty-five now. |

Voted for Public Enemy because they are the most famous band in the game.

I couldn't listen to "Firefly", as the video isn't available in my country, for some reason.
But on the subject of Breaking Benjamin, I hate to "nitpick", and this isn't a shot at you DAMN iNATOR, but the version of "Polyamorous" that guy has uploaded to YouTube is the wrong version, for when it comes to the SvR soundtrack. I think the version that guy uploaded was the original version, as the newer one that appeared in the game had a guitar intro and not the drumstick one. It should be this one. |

Weird. I do know a lot of the songs in SvR were also in DoR on GameCube (Firefly, Polyamorous), though I can't remember if any from SvR '06 were part of DoR2, although it doesn't seem so.
And @ STD, I disagree with you slightly. I think SvR 2006 was far better than the original SvR but afterwards it definitely got awful for a while (looking specifically at YOU SvR '08...). |

I'd say SvR06 was the best one, and my favourite of the SvR series. |

Indeed. I was so pissed at how they dismantled the table mechanics, but the new ones as of a couple of years ago are great with the tables splintering more and not always in the same pattern and I like that they added ladders being able to be broken in half.
Yet somehow 4× attacks with a chair still means you have to grab another. COME THE FUCK ON. |

Not every song from each game I'm featuring will be great but there's a few. Off the top of my head I still love "Save Me" by Burn Halo and "You Make Me Sick" by Egypt Central.

Bring Tha Noise was also in THQ's GameCube game WWE Day of Reckoning that year. Lot of crossover in DoR and SvR's soundtracks that year, although I did find DoR to be far superior that year, really the best of the 4 GameCube games. Felt like they tried to do way too much with DoR 2 and succeeded on some levels while just falling flat on others.
Let's just say there's a good reason I still have every PS2 SD/SvR game. Only ones I don't have are the original PS1 game and Know Your Role. BTW, I do still hope, even though the series is now all 2K, to one day see some sort of 8-player match returning. Imagine an 8-man MitB ladder match or 8-man tag match (both classic and 4 Corners, 2v2v2v2 style). Might sound underwhelming to some but I would definitely make use of them. |
