Why would it make sense for faces to come help? The Shield were dicks to everybody until just recently, and they'd automatically become targets for The Authority if they interfered.

Yeah, because a team hasn't turned face/heel at all in the past and immediately sided with a person they've just been feuding with.

Also, I don't think anybody was being serious about the faces not coming out to help. It pretty much gets brought up in most TV threads teen shot like that happens.

Dear ABT, you are clearly missing the point. Their target audience does not retain information for a long time.

That said, anyone watching that match and the aftermath would at least consider going out and helping. Especially a heroic type. DDP would have come out with a chair. Austin would have stunned like 3-4 people then had beers with the Shield. So would Hogan, Rock, Mankind w/socko, Goldberg, Jeff Hardy etc. etc. We're supposed to assume that anytime a bad guy turns face or even tweener that the past is the past. It's mostly good versus mostly evil and allowing the Shield to get destroyed by 14 people is a dick move. |

A few of you need to change your tone. I've said nothing idiotic (in this thread).

I like that out of all his many titles, he puts the Divas Title on one of his shoulders.

For Daniel Bryan maybe, but not for Cena who has forgiven people for worse things and is supposed to save the day.
I wouldn't even have minded if two-three baby-faces had run out and gotten their asses handed to them for trying to help the Shield, but when you're a Warrior filled with warrior spirit and you see shit going down you're supposed to do something. Just imagine for a moment that babyface Kofi is sitting backstage and smiling when the match starts and then, like a heel, starts laughing as the Shield gets brutally assaulted in the ring. Would have been an instant heel turn despite whatever they've done to him in the past. A good guy should be better than that is all. |

Are we seriously suggesting that the booking should have made less sense because they have booked oddly in the past? Like, seriously?

Daniel Bryan would have helped too, but he was on his Honey Moon.

the face save really only serves to get/keep the face over. this is about the shield. they made the right call having nobody come down. if it had to be somebody, it should have been daniel bryan based on the previous week. but he wasn't there. so good call, wwe.

Oh, I agree. I'm just saying Kofi Kingston is a monster.
Watching them get beat down like that was a great sympathy-getter for sure. The Shield and Daniel Bryan are the top faces in the company right now. |

It is sort of surprising to realize that the WWE is short of fan-backed heroes at this point that aren't maniacal cult leaders.
Off/topic how do you legit turn Bray Wyatt face? |

i think it would be as easy as putting him against a heel while sticking with his current vibe. there are already enough people that cheer for the wyatt family as it is.

I think it'd be like an Undertaker baby-face run. Ultimately he was still some other-world agent of destruction, but he'd choose good over evil every once in a while.
